Going to surgeon

Damn first I should say I'm still in my 20's, and got referred to a surgeon for a craniotomy to fix my facial pain. The worst part though will be being stuck in a hospital for a week afterward where I can't toke............................................

Anyone ever spend more than a day in the hospital? You sneak some edibles in or something? Any tips?

I hate being in hospitals more than anything.

Here's what it looks like:

Cost over $50,000 too but I have insurance.

I have spent way too much time there..
Have a BIL who has spent even more then I.. he has a tumor they found out about 2 years ago when he became really dizzy and his vision blurred. He went into see the eye dr they ref'd him to get an MRI and there it was.. He has had about 4 surgeries but keeps on chuggin! Almost 70% removed thus far.. he has had little pain which is great.

You are gonna be on a lot of pain crap there unless you dont want that.. and want the MMJ for pain relief. Medibles kick ass for pain! I'd rather have a few cookies anyhow

I'm already on chronic opiates and a bunch of shitty drugs I'd like to be off. I did 3 months of immune suppressing steroids to reduce a lesion they thought was a tumor several months ago but my eye kills me when I move it from damage to the nerves behind it. Sucks. Facial nerves are mofos when they act up. Make you want to kill yourself.

Check out "Hungry for Change" on Netflix. I believe it is possible to heal yourself from the inside out sometimes. Your body fights off scrapes and cuts on the outside. Give it more weapons to help fight on the inside too.

BETS OF LUCK and a speedy recovery are what I wish for you. Report back.

man, wtf did i just watch?? lol.. that kind of stuff is so amazing to me.. they just go in there and cut away at all sorts of crap, i'd love to know how they begin to put it all back together again.. simply amazing imo. we're very lucky to live in the times we do that they're able to perform these things imo...
and op, good luck.. i'm sure you could sneak some edibles into the hospital no problem..:D

Yeah I've only taken them for 6 months and I break them in half. I have a prescription here at my desk I haven't even filled yet. For some reason I've tried making oil with more bud than oil, it was good but nothing like the dispensary sells. The dispensary stuff was like eating a percocet. But it costs $30 for a few days worth where Oxycodone is $5 for a month.

The problem with letting the body "heal itself" from the inside is there's a physical object rubbing away the sheath on the nerve causing it to short out. They have to put a teflon cotton ball between the object and nerve, which requires a craniotomy.

I just got back from the surgeon and he said I could try to continue living with it and be on drugs forever, or they can blast the nerve with the gamma knife to damage it, which he didn't think would work, but he said the craniotomy was the way to go, I just have to get my shit together and call him when I'm ready. He said because I'm young he can fit me in quickly when I'm ready.

@racerboy I couldn't even watch it, hehe, last night I was just reading about the process and had to lay down with my feet in the air because I was ready to pass out.

Blessing to you. Hope you make the right decision what ever it is. Be careful about taking medication into a hospital. It is strictly forbidden in some states
