One of the bands I'm in plays casinos, car/bike shows and weddings alot, so they play an assload of music from the 70's through 90's. And not exactly my 'style'. But, all I gotta' do is sing the shit and look like I dig it and I get a check. Unfortunately, that gig takes most of the time I have for an organized band and the creative end of what I dig suffers. I fucking hate bars, but my bandmates and I(from my real band) try to hit an open jam once a month or so to get our original material out of our system. ...FUNK therapy! (think Red Hot Chilli's meet Zappa and have a bastard child with Primus.)
Let me know ,PG! Can't get too into it here, but if you're a musician I've got some pretty fucking cool things going on that I think you'd dig.

I love music, but I reckon a Triangle is about the limits of my playing expertise (or may be one of those wooden scrapy things) - or I can be the guy like Bez from the Happy Mondays, I'll just skin up and dance around a lot - I am good at that:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen: Plus, my wife thinks I am quite handsome so I can be yer chick magnet (now I am def lmfao)

You said it! Bassists are the hardest people to find. That casino band I'm in has an awesome bassist. Someday, I'll steal him. If I'm not writing or tracking other peoples stuff, I'm playin' bass, baybee! Funk/Jazz bass! I't my secret love. I don't really listen to much jazz. Dig the musicality of jazz, just dont see much ass shakin' at a jazz gig. Sept with these guys... I'm happy with the whole "Semi-Bolic" grow. Not everything went perfect. And I see that as a good thing. I learned a ton from fucking up and from you good people coming to my aid when I'm stuck!

Kick ass funk! I've gotta tell ya that i'm a musician myself and when you said "RHCP meets Zappa and has a bastard Claypool / Primus child" I flipped!
I could say the same thing for my style- just with a dash of Hendrix, Victor Wooten, and BB King added in for flavour..

i always say homegrown blows any other weed away. but i feel you on the bias thing, nothing quite hits like my pk now that i've had it so long. mites aside, the grow went rather well!

:hump::hump: Now THAT'S a bass. Haha, I actually groove on the gee-tar most of the time these days.
I've tried to turn into a bassist, but it just doesn't happen...
I was born for them 6 strings.

Killer axe funk, I can hear those velvety rhythms just by looking at it.

I have been playing sax since the fourth grade and have been playing bass since I was 12. I dabble on guitar and I am trying to delve into some more keys. Recently had huge motivation from Herbie and Stevie to get some work with keys in.

I'll keep up with you on the other thread, but good looks my man.
