Going to Finish this One...Hopefully

so i have a ghs great white shark and dna sour kush (sour diesel x bubba kush). i am pretty excited about my grow. I am using dwc system with two 3 gallon totes and so for they are looking really nice. advance nutrients and some purple maxx. i am two days in the fourth week and using a 400w system and grow lab 60. My last run i had, ended early because i was not changing the water, i was just adding more stuff to it. so they burned but lesson learned. not this time. i am going to finish this one to the end. let me know you think. the bigger one is gws

Nice Green House seeds seem to be legit... Going to germinate my Super lemon haze in a few weeks..

Yeah, I am really going to try and keep an update every week. The GWS germinated in about 2 to 3 days. I am curious about how much I will yield.

So, its going on the fifth week of flowering and when I went to look at my babys, my GWS has some if its leaves turn banana yellow but my sour kush as no leaves that are yellow. Can someone please help me out in figuring out what the problem is. I know the leaves turn yellow towards the end of life but it's seems like it's too soon

I have seen leaves turn yellow do to the pH being off.

5 weeks huh? lookin legit so far man. just wait, in 2 weeks they are gonna swell up like crazy!
as far as the yellowing goes, first off post up some pics. without that, we're all just shooting in the dark out here and you're the one thats' gotta live with her. second, sccerfrk is right. what's your ph lookin like? when was your last rez change? how much you feedin them? is it the old leaves turning yellow or the newer growth? these are just the first things that come to my mind. subbed up and i'll try to help if i can.

alright guys and gals, here is day 4 of week 5. so i checked my ph and it was at 7 so i changed my water two days ahead of schedule. i dont measure the ppm and my ph tester is a veil drip tester.

i try to keep my ph around 5.5-6.5 but it usually stays at 6. i use whatever advance nutrients nute calculator tell me to use for an 11L res. i change my rez every week on a Wednesday. the yellowing seems to be happening only on the fan leave but it seems to be scattered so its not really new growth or old...i thinks its both. thanks for the rep, i really appreciate it and i appreciate the help. i vegged them for a month using one 125w cfl light.

thanks for the tip on the yellow leaves and the ph. helped me out.

never used advanced nutes, so i can't help there man. ph seems good. hmmm.....does the whole leaf turn yellow or is it starting on the tips and working back, or the back working twords the tips, or the center of the leaf spreading outward? If it's new growth AND old i'm thinking it's not a deficency, unless your ph keeps drifting up in the 7's like it was. all i can guess for now is to keep a real close eye on your ph and temps. No slime or algae, right? the larger the rez the easier it is to maintain ph IME. sorry i can't be more help right now, but i will keep checkin in and i'll let u know if i think of anything else.

Okay so I am about 4 days in the 6th week and wanted ti know when I should start flushing. Both strains are 9 week strains. Any suggestions

GWS looks great, I just had to kill my seedling it had failed going to retry after the new year have many other ladies I am currently caring for lol

Looks like 2-3 more weeks man. Those white hairs have to be orange - brownish before you flush. The week before you flush lower your nutes. Also get yourself a radio shack microscope to check the trichomes..No one really knows what your yield will be because when you dry your girls they will shrink big time.

okay so today is the start of week 8 and i am concerned about my sour kush. it seems as if its died or dying. i am not sure wether or not to cut her or let her finish her 9th week being that she is a 9 week plant. please can some one tell me what i should do. and for my white rhino it still looks like it has more to go and its a 8 to 9 week plant as well. i am so lost and confused

is there any experts out there to help me out. could really use some guidance

How do your roots look? Does your rez stink at all? any slime?
I'm guessing you've already gone through the usual list, PH, temps (both ambient and water), did you do a rez change?
How do the trichs look? do you have a microscope or magnifier? hate to pull her before shes ready.
the leaves on most strains tend to die off at the end of their life cycle, are you sure the plant is dying?
ask yourself if anything changed in the environment recently?

Yeah everyhing stayed the same, I think I should just chop them because the buds are real dry. I think if I do then I don't have to dry them because they are dry already lol. What do you think I should do. Should I chop my GWS as well

If the plant is indeed dying, then I would go ahead and chop it. She may not be done, but you might be able to pull some decent hash off her if nothing else. But, if she is still taking up water I'd hold off a few more days and see if you can dial in the problem. Radioshack has some great little pocket microscopes they stock for about $12. 30x-60x i think. I've got one and they work GREAT for checking trichs. If it's not surely dying, I wouldn't pull it until the trichs told me she was ready.
Either way, you'll want to dry and cure them properly. If the buds are dry and the stem does not snap when you bend it, then put them in jars and they will moisten up again and a good cure can still happen.
Hasty decisions at the ends lead to less than desirable crops. Make sure you triple check everything before you make any decisions. Wish I could help more, I'm here if you need me bro. Good luck

Did you check the air pump and air stone for that rez? It is possible that the pump stopped working or the air stone got plugged. I think that if that was the case the plant may not of gotten enough water and dried out. I don't know for sure, just an idea.

I would think that not enough air in the rez would cause an "over watering" problem, not cause them to dry out......
