Hey guys i want to buy an hps system for the closet... can somone please direct me to a good hps kit for growing? somthing like a 400watt kit?

Which one would you guys buy, out of the ones on the htg site? Is the HTG brand name good or would you shell out for the coolstar (which is also quite a steal on the htg site)

probably do ship to aus. and i would buy the build it yourself ballast.
im a good quick hand @ that type of shit and it would save 20-40 bucks.

400w is good for a few plants but from my experience i would pitch in the extra cash for a 600w system if you can find one because you can always use the extra wattage and the price difference is not that much. IMHO.

get the digital 600w with a good reflector. thats the shit. and htgsupply has a good selection but they are slow to reply to emails, even when you pay a lot of money for an order. yes, that is slight discontent you hear in my voice

Yeah htg has some good deals but are selling old technology and their email resonses are non existant I got 2 replies to over 30 emails over the last year asking about products. Maryland Hydroponics sells new switchable digital ballast for $119 new.I use these and love them.. Also check OpenDNS they have some good deals on the magnetic type stuff and some digital stuff too. The digital ballasts only weight about 5 lbs also so shipping is cheap compared to 30-40 lbs for magnetic ballasts...I dont know why it keeps putting that open dns place holder in the paragrapgh for the address but the address is www. insidesun.com

the digital greenhouse 600 hps ballast actually cools my room and 200 bucks for the simple set up; with cheap upgrades

Search around Ebay esp a company called GreatLights4Less. Ive dealt with them many of times and just picked up 2 400watters at 99 bucks each
