Im about 14 inches now and thinking about switching over to 12/12 for flower, my question is..

Should i wait till after vacation for the switch? im going away in about a week for 3 nights. and was figuring i can just leave it by a window to get some light. (during veg state) and would switch to flowering when i got home.

But now im considering going to 12/12 now, would it be alright to interrupt the light for 3-4 days while im away during flowering? or should i hold off on the switch till im home.

Switch to flower now and have 3 days of natural light(window), at about the 10 day mark OR Keep vegging till i get home, then switch.

Scrap that heat lamp, get yourself a few big CFL's(42 watts)

The heat lamp won't do the job at all. Does more damage than good, unless your trying to bring up temps with it.

Are you manually switching the light yourself, or do you have a timer? If you had a timer you would be able to set it at whatever you want, just make sure they've got enough water for the three days.

P.S.- Remember, CFL's. Shoot for atleast 75 w per square foot. That means three 42w(126w total) CFL's would be ok for one plant. More is better.

i'm not sure where to purchase such items and i was trying to keep it cheap.
my light is a 150w

are you saying its not going to produce enough light? or it never would (its growing 1/2 inch a day)

will i outgrow this light? IF thats the case i should flower sooner to need less light consuption.. right?

my basic question is with THIS setup, switch to flowering now or after vacation to avoide the ligh change.

ooo i'm turning the lights off manually

Home Depot, Walmart, Kmart, Target...any of those would have CFLs and a timer. Pool is giving you some good advice. Get the timer and put it into a 12/12 cycle using your CFLs. Make sure you put a small oscillating fan on it to move the air. Good luck.
