So, I have leave for 7-8 days guys. And I have my autos doing their thing, is it better to leave the lights on or off while I'm gone?
I know ''no light'' can't hurt the plant atleast but what happens if they ''sleep'' for too long?
What would you do?

I would leave them on a timer like I always do. Do you actually turn the lights on and off each day for them manually? For me the most difficult part of leaving home is the watering schedule and making sure temps and rh stay in bounds, the lights just do their thing. I would not leave them in the dark for 8 days, since they are autos you could leave the light on and dimmed some, that would be better than off. Timers are very cheap, I would invest in one.

Definitely leave the lights on that's too long to be in darkness . I'd worry more about them drying out . If anything put them on a 12/12 cycle . Maybe even 10/14 .

Cool! I don't have a timer. But I will figure out how to water them before I leave

if you're in dirt you can put the pots in a large container or rubbermaid tote and fill the bottom up a few inches with water. It will keep them hydrated, and is better than nothing. Vacations are a pain in my ass too. Coming home to crispy plants sucks. I bought a larger res and better timer for my irrigation system just for this reason, and I should be good for up to 2 weeks now.

you can leave the light on since it's autos but the watering situation will need sorted somehow you could set up a drip feed and a big rez or something just allow for growth the time your away with your lights distance from the plant you don't want anything getting burned cos it's grew too close to the light like idk your growspace just saying

leave em on with a timer. I pretty much always go a week ish before watering. Rarely touch em between times. Just admire the growth. Truth be told went on a vacation one time for a week when a buddy said hey I need someone to go on my timeshare vacation as my girlfriend cant get off work. turned out fine but experience helps. I used 3 weeks to get confidence in it by not touching em for the week. 5 gallon air pots with saucers. If you need to leave some water in the saucer so the plants can drink regardless of knats that rarely effect end result.
