Go purple or go home

Well this is my first time to drop the room temps down into the 50's with the light's off.

With the light's on, it's perfectly at 76..

My goal is PURPLE.. not because it's any better. I just want the pic's. Either way the bud will be good. I have cheese's starting to turn. And my amnesia haze's are also taking the color trait..

It starts off with the fan leaves outer sides where the ridge's are. from there the middle will stay almost a golden lime. while the the purple travels through out the stems and hopefully the buds.

A lot of you probably already know this.
The chorophyll. Is what makes the plant green. But by removing this you also take away the unwanted greeny taste that is disliked by a lot..

I also have mendo purp's that isn't turning purple.. So we will have to see how this turns out?

here is some pic's turning dark green to purplish it's a harder to tell with the red spectrum from the HPS so tonight when my lights turn on, I will take some pic's with just the MH on, so it's alot more visible

why are you dropping temps on plants that arent flowering...it going to do nothing but stop their growth rate...you want to drop temps the last 2 weeks of flowering for purp.......

well i did it out side last year with great success.. I know that 50 won't stun my strains this early in flower these plants were flipped two days ago.. But anyways last year. I I started off some plants inside durning the winterlast year and stuck them ouside early march.. with the temps at night dropping in high 40's not only did they turn purple but flowered 2 months later then the same plants revegged and I harvested again in october.. sounds like BS but it's very possible.

OMG yall are freaking out! just read Subcool's journals. His girlfriend Mzjill, started the Jillybean strain with night temps at 50.. I think they know a little more then us.. Alot of breeders do this to make them turn purple.. just look in canada It get's super cold in the fall.

ill be watching this one...im from the school of drop temps when you start your final flush...anything else is just unneeded stress on the girls while they are in labor:bigjoint:

ive had strains turn purple with out the stress. it helps but it stunts growth. thats why you should only do it at the last week or two.. get a better purp strain

you make no sense dude. if you want purple buds (which are stupid anyway), then you drop the temps RIGHT BEFORE HARVEST. that's what's generally meant by 'in flower'. and BTW, the flowering stage doesn't start RIGHT after you switch the lights...

Geez.
