As far as purple strains go...Grandaddy Purp lol (hence the name) but it's clone-only as far as I know. The Grape Ape I had back east wouldnt be far behind the GDP...hopefully the Grape Ape I'm growing now will be somewhat like what I had back E. :lol:

Do you fine tune your mix for the different stains or are they all getting the same feed?

I'm really looking forward to see what the 1500w HPS does for yield.
Also this is the first time Ive looked into Humbolt, and I'm liking what I see. I am very curious to see what the GPW turns out to be, because I am considering adopting Humbolt in the future after seeing this thread

Took the words right out my brain man theyere nice huh, i hope i can get to that point someday maybe a better nute libe after i run this one a few times through my cycle, then maybe canna or advanced but gh is nice and easy.

I like to try to give all of my plants the same nutrients instead of fine-tuning...a lot less complicated. But I have had problems with the WhiteRhino and Mad Man Purp, so I had to cut back on those a little bit. The Afgooey, Grape Ape, and Sweet Island Skunk, however are getting all of the same nutrients.


Humboldt Nutrients is the only thing I've used and been very happy with them!! I was thinking about going with one of the more "mainstream" brands like GH, AN, H&G, etc. but I can ALWAYS find negative information about all of these brands!! Humboldt Nutrients, however, I couldnt find any bad info on, which is why I figured I'd give 'em a shot. I'd say they're working just fine & I feel comfortable saying (by the looks of it) that in day 39 flower each of these monsters already have an ounce on them!!:lol:

So what does it take to move to CO and do this full-time?

What would be a good city to relocate to? I was thinking Boulder as it is close to Denver and I could find full-time work there in my profession without too much trouble.

I knew someone would ask lol. Main thing you need is money and a place to do it.

As far as places to live, Boulder is fckn' awesome...IFyou can afford it. A 1bdrm apt (which would def not be ideal for growing) in Boulder will be a minimum of $1,000/month. A house and your looking at a minimum of $2500-$3000 rent every month. Denver suburbs are also quite pricey (around $2,000/mo). I would look into the Colorado Springs area or west of Denver in the mtns.

I live 50 minutes from Denver, so not too bad of a drive. My main problem in moving out here was finding a place that had everything I needed and that was affordable...& I've got a pitbull, so that automatically cut out 75% of the places I could live b/c they are not well-liked out here.

I was looking at real estate in Denver it seems affordable to buy for what our family would need. We would of course rent though before buying. My profession is professional sales so I require close proximity to major population centres so I would probably locate somewhere between Colorado Springs and Denver which would be perfect... Any nice parochial small towns you could suggest checking out/in or around Colorado Springs? I'm totally serious (Don't wanna hijack your thread here so PM if you want) Thanks for the info though.



My wife is already on board and she is an American citizen. We've planned a summer vacation to scope out the area and see if we like it.

yeah finding a good place to grow is difficult at best...I'm looking right now but as soon as I find the perfect place the land lord was like oh I forgot no growing grass in this house...the last ass hole did that shit an left a huge mess and never mowed his lawn...so I know the feeling...
