I tried to catch a Ladybug but it died n route the the room....
Dude you are supposed to lasso them! They got 6 legs how can you miss? Pretty much any thin thread will work, I use polyester beading floss for strength and flexibility. After lassoing them, throw them in your ladybug box (of course you have made you ladybug shelter already right?)I tried to catch a Ladybug but it died n route the the room....
You know what + rep for the excellent advice i have just mastered this method myself.. well infact im a bit more advanced than yourself, where you have a bug shelter i have a bug barracks, i have a small army of them all working towards a higher rankDude you are supposed to lasso them! You'll wanna bring a bowl to smoke and something to eat, maybe a sleeping bag, as the ladybug hunts can take a while (If you are in the Northern Hemisphere, the hunt may last until spring) Now since they are admittedly a little hard to catch, what your gonna wanna do is get a male and a female (telling sex has been explained thoroughly on other threads here) and get them to breed...now the ladybug shelter makes more sense huh!
These things can be almost as difficult to get in the mood as a PMSing panda, so you'll wanna make sure you get some good ladybug porn (available at most garden centers and hydro shops). Set the ladybug shelter/boudoir near the TV, throw on some Barry White, and for god's sake leave the room and give them some privacy!
Although I have done so many DIY projects that end up costing almost as much as if I would have bought the already engineered product that I would have to say I only recommend this for the die hard DIYer. Personally I just went to my friendly local hydro shop and for 7 bucks USD, they gave me 1500 already in their own little home to store in the fridge to use as needed or until they pass on to the great garden in the sky!
Really... 9 prepositional phrases in one sentence?
HeHeHe! Yeah I hate flies too! Rumor has it they eat shit, run the global banks and all their children are nothing but maggots. Turn the bugstoppo loose on them! You know what + rep for the excellent advice i have just mastered this method myself.. well infact im a bit more advanced than yourself, where you have a bug shelter i have a bug barracks, i have a small army of them all working towards a higher rank
To be honest, at the moment i think i may have a dictator like Hitler in command, i have noticed the side parting and the mustache, and the salute, oh and he and his army have been systematically errasing the flys
Make sure if you get some ladybugs, you also get some ants to act as nato or you gonna get a genocide on a mass scale arround your plants bro
Goodluck
Lol i know what you are saying with the sand washing, but the amount of beer im taliking about does not cost a penny if you have a drink now n again lol, like i said this method will not kill them all off, but keep the numbers downi believe the sand can stop the larvae from coming to the surface to become gnats but they are in the soil eating your roots. plus if you didnt have gnats would you put a layer of sand on top for no reason ? no you wouldnt. whats the effect of the sand wher did you get it a playground ? no so youre not gonna just use random sand youll want clean sand so if you have to go get sand and beer witch both cost money you might as well gaet something that kills them for four months right?
I had some sand from when I used it in making a walkway to my front door. It was free, available, and easy. Most of all it worked.i believe the sand can stop the larvae from coming to the surface to become gnats but they are in the soil eating your roots. plus if you didnt have gnats would you put a layer of sand on top for no reason ? no you wouldnt. whats the effect of the sand wher did you get it a playground ? no so youre not gonna just use random sand youll want clean sand so if you have to go get sand and beer witch both cost money you might as well gaet something that kills them for four months right?
It's probably the easiest and possibly cheapest way. Prevents the hatchlings from reaching the surface and prevents the adults from laying new eggs. I call it gnat Genocide. Plus you don't have to use any pesticides.im gunna use the sand tech..
i thought they ate at your roots? please correct me if im wrong cause i saw one yesterday in my soil tooIt's probably the easiest and possibly cheapest way. I thought nicotine was like SUPER deadly toward cannabis?fucking gnats i hate them!! i was thinking of doing something else!! il use a vaccum cleaner to remove top 5cm of soil and spray a nicotine solution on the soil and then cover with new soil!! what u guys think will this work?? il also place a small pan with beer to kill any other bastards flying around!! im all for peace but these gnats will see the devil in me i wanna take every single of their miserable lives away and leave only my babies to thrive!!!
They do, but they can only live under the soil so long before they die, and if the adults can't get back through the soil to lay more eggs and the larvae can't get out to become adults in a few days you have destroyed the gnat life cycle.i thought they ate at your roots? please correct me if im wrong cause i saw one yesterday in my soil too
No way man. That will slow them down but that won't eliminate the problem. You gotta kill em and keep em from having babies too. Neem Oil is the best, hands down. I promise you that if you use it, your problem will be gone and if you use it like every 4 weeks or so, they'll never come back. Not to mention that the plants love all the trace nutes in the oil. You just gotta try it.im gunna use the sand tech..
