Put aside your political blinders on whatever side they are on and just look at that graph. Only if you come to the belief that the single red spot is capable of changing the planets weather pattern or temps in any meaningful manner can you defend "man made" global warming.

Numbers don't lie, just consider the numbers and apply a smidgen of common sense.

OK CJ, what do you suggest is responsible for climate change, if not CO2, then?

The only correlation that has a pattern of any accuracy is the sun, which let's face it is the true engine of the entire solar system.

CO2 just doesn't hold up to true scrutiny, meaning non politcal based science. temps. have flatlined since 1998 and all the while co2 has increased. This is not a good indicator that the govt. is on the right track. Needless to say that cap and trade will not have any significant impact on CO2. But let's say it does create an actual reduction. let's just smoke a few joints and say cap and trade reduces Mans carbon footprint by 50%. Just cut that red spot in half.....again, do you honestly think that is a deciding factor in planet patterns?

No, it is the sun, and naturally the pol's don't want to hear it or you hear it either.

There is breaking news that info has been squashed by this "transparent" govt. so they can get this legislation passed. Everything is an emergency lately.....

I don't have a political affiliation, and do not have to have one to recognize one.

I JUST clearly demonstrated that heat causes an increase of CO2. NOBODY can demonstrate the inverse.

simple question do you think we as the human race have any effect on climate? or is the whole thing purely a political conspiracy?
I believe the impact of people is minuscule in contrast to the natural forces. Pissing in a stream. I can piss in a stream my whole life, and the stream won't turn to piss. Does my urine have an impact? Sure. Of course. Does that impact matter? Nope.

so the huge majority of all american and european scientists are corrupt and paid off and all are connected to political enterprise come on now really.
Please demonstrate "huge majority". Hell... demonstrate "majority". You people seriously need to quit watching the idiot box.

Want me to demonstrate that the majority of doctors... oncologists specifically... are bound to pharmaceutical companies instead of their Hippocratic oath?

You want to save the planet? I am saving the sun and the fourth moon of Uranus. How bout something more reasonable. Save us. Save your family. Save yourself... stop eating fast food. That is a real difference you can make. Don't eat anything with ingredients that you can't pronounce without work.

Lastly, as to plastic...

Take a ziplock bag... put in a tablespoon of water, a tablespoon of corn starch, and 2 drops of corn oil. Mix. Do not completely seal the bag, put it in the microwave for 25 seconds.

You got plastic. Mold it as it cools. Sure, it's biodegradable... but you get the gist.

"Synthetics" are just elements combined in an order, at specific temperatures, at different times which result in a specific formula. To speculate that in however old the universe is, that at no point did these things intersect is like saying it is impossible that there is life outside of earth. You really can't.

Frankly the answer to all of this is grow more weed. Eats CO2 and makes oxygen. Everybody wins.

You guys love these questions.

Let me put it this way... if I am accused of murder... I don't have to prove who did it to demonstrate I didn't.

If we didn't do it... wtf does it matter what immutable force did? We can do fuck all about it.

And there is the rub. People need to believe in control... because the lack of it is skurry. So we will spin our wheels pretending we are in control because it makes you feel better.

Control is an illusion. Anyone who tells you differently is selling something.

Well, if you're inclined to go into the outfield of ideas, it won't matter after December 21st, 2012.

Ze plane! Ze plane! Boss, it's the Galactic plane! Duck and cover!!

P.S. If you actually do the math on that chart, it quickly gets ridiculously low.

ChChoda... you and I are on the same page on everything I have seen from you. Someone I am close to actually left (a high position at) EPA in 92 over this because of ethical conflict. I beat this drum for years, and nobody really cares. Doesn't matter that no study, in any country, has ever been able to reproduce anywhere near the results of this report... this report who's results were reported before analysis was even done.

This is what I mean when I refer to junk science. Adjusting the numbers until you come up with the result you are expecting.

I didn't see your earlier post either which quoted the newsweek article I posted. Just funny when you see someone else speaking your thoughts.

The lead scientist on this study will gladly tell you the amount of coercion the EPA levied against him. He is still respected, in some circles, but feels it left him tarnished. We had him over for dinner once. Truly scary shit.

You won't be missed-lol. I've seen many of your posts, and you seem dead set in your liberal ways. Obama's a great Pres, GWB sucks, global warming is factual, MANMADE, and we should all have to pay for our "American guilt" through Cap and Trade, etc. Your mind seems shut to MANY of the facts out there, in more than one subject. Global warming/climatology is an INFANT science AT BEST, (and its methodology is even MORE questionable) yet Al Gore and every lib out there accepts every word the purveyors of global warming gloom and doom say as if it were divined. Anyone with a LOGICAL thought process and possesses a mind capable of critical thinking can see that. Oh, and nevermind the huge contracts Al Gore is set to rake in from the mass marketing of American guilt! You know, the same people that sympathized with the anti-technology/anti-industrial writings of the Unabomber, are many of the same people that couldn't wait to feel guilty for their standard of living. Globabl Warming fits that bill perfectly, and the tool it has become in instrumenting "change" is more profound than most people realize. Whether or not you agree with the junk science or not, you WILL pay for it. Great, concentrate more money in the hands of the elite. Better yet, in the hands of union contracts which will remain firmly in the Democrats' pursestrings for the foreseeable future. Expand the size of government in order to secure the votes and powerbase. This isn't a hard concept to understand, but it's not surprising that few people really see it. The masses are sheep for the most part, and so long as the media continues to give Obama and his administration a pass in truly critiquing what's really going on, people will eventually be led off the cliff.

Just how in the fuck did this end up being a union bashing thread. Me thinks all you conservative holes are so obsessed with your wallets, you cant see the proverbial forest for the trees. Long live unionism!

Made me sick, but I see it as my civic duty to vote... and would be forced not to posit opinions on something I didn't take part in... even if it is blame. Lesser of evils.

Palin... I don't despise her, I don't know the woman. I do not see her as being fit to hold such high office. She has a BA in journalism from 5 schools. I assume you saw the interviews. McCain, who I have a lot of issues with (not the least of which immigration) I would have gladly voted for... but his health is a question mark... a big one. The man was brutally tortured for years, making the disfigured man we see today. 8 years ago, I would have been all in. The office is hard on people. Look at them going in and going out... you will find more than 4-8 years of aging on them. I couldn't in good concience put him in office with her a breath away from the presidency. I do not find her to be intelligent enough, or of strong conviction. I also just have issues with people of her particular religious flavor. Writhing on the ground, speaking in tongues... getting protection from witches etc.

Better to take the devil you know than the one you don't.

Am I regretting it now? A bit. At the same time... she was a dog and pony show... and I found her to be corrupt and inept. Not dignified to hold the office. She might be a fine lady... but I refuse to vote for someone stupider than me. Obama at least chose someone with a shitton of experience to compliment his lack of experience. Palin was TnA for the GOP. I found her candidacy insulting... but I am really derailing the thread here.

So you watch/ed the nightly news...too many do/did. :blsmoke:

Ps- 3 senators and 1 governor...I thought I voted for the lesser of four evils; Palin. And, back to the topic at hand, McCain would have gone nuclear, which would have crippled his ability to harm us with the cap and trade all 4, sans Palin, promoted enthusiastically.

So far Palin is one of our highest rated governors when polled intra state (by the people who elected them). She is a force to be reckoned with, and her amazing pipeline project is nothing short of amazing. She'll be back.

Alaskan govs are ALWAYS highly rated. Fuck they pay you to live there. They eat pork. The state is so desolate, and people so sparsely lain out... and, I might add, self reliant... so long as the gov doesn't interfere with anything they are happy... and weird.

Again... we are totally thread jacking. I will start a new one if you want to go fisticuffs over Palin.

A self reliance pattern the rest of the 49 states should follow. We have opted for the government teat instead and it will cost us dearly.
