glass cleaning tip

Whenever I clean any of my glass pieces I usually use iospropyl alcohol and regular table salt. I like to use a ziploc bag to place the bowl or slide or downstem in, and then ill add enough alcohol to cover what I'm trying to clean. I then dump some salt in the bag with the piece and alcohol maybe a couple table spoons. The next part is usually fun haha hold your piece through the bag and shake the hell out it for like 2 mins. I usually let it chill in the sink for like 30 mins in the solution. Come back, shake a few times and then pull out what you were cleaning and rinse it really good in hot water. At this point u can use some q-tips to get anything else that was left behind. And dry it out

TSP won't help that, but toilet bowl cleaner, the stuff with hydrochloric acid in it, should wipe hard water stains right out. cn

I use Easy Off Oven Cleaner on all my glass pieces. The fumes are harsh and you should wear gloves when you use it, but man does it work even when its really caked on. Just hold your breath, spray really good, then let it sit for five minutes. Come back and rise with cold water and that's it. It foams up to get into the nooks and crannies so no shaking required. It's perfect for cleaning bowls and bongs with multiple diffusers and percolators.

Isopropyl alcohol and salt work great for quick clean ups, but often times I have to stand there shaking for a long time or worse, resort to scrubbing with pipe cleaners. It gets the job done, but nothing like Easy Off. It's a little pricey if you buy at Target or Walmart ($6.00-$8.00) compared to isopropyl. However, sometimes the Dollar Tree or 99 Cent stores carroies it so check there first if your looking to save a few bucks.

Cheap packs of pipe cleaners can often be found in the craft section next to popsicle sticks and glitter twine. The skinny nylon kind are the most popular, but if you have a choice go for the fluffier cotton kind. It's usually the same price. A pack of six or twelve for a dollar or two.

instead of Qtips invest in the soft pipe cleaners, pipe cleaners come in course and not course you would want the not course ones. You'll be amazed at places you're able to reach with pipe cleaners.
