Iv had several successful grows, several different strains. Iv never had a problem getting seeds to sprout. But I can't get a single seed I Got from my hermi (it was a purplekush female, lemon haze male) to pop...

Do I need to let the seeds sit for awhile before trying?? Iv tried germanating these things a million different ways, no luck. They are very healthy looking beans..

Thanks for any help guys!

Sometimes the hermie seeds just arent viable. I know this because I was blessed/cursed with a strain that for two grows went hermie on me, the seed from the first crop was viable, not the second for some reason (and no, I actually used clones of the first batch for the second so they should have been "the same")

I tossed MANY seeds...due to low germ rates...If you have a lot, just pop em, who fucking cares? Take the healthiest and see if it happens again, it may or may not, which could be a good thing all around.

They may be duds, viable seeds generally have some nice stripes on them and are nice and firm when you roll them in your fingers. Apart from that its hard to tell from looking at them, I soak mine in water for 12 hours before I germinate as well, some pics would help.

Thanks for your replies,

I have let these sit in water for 3 days then tried, no luck. Thinking they just might be duds, which Sux cause its sister was a beautiful plant with some killer smoke. The seeds look great, not too much different than the purplekush seeds

Try coco peat. Works for me every time, even on seeds I thought were trash. Get it wet and keep a cfl close for light and warmth in the top layers.

One other thing you could try is get a matchbox or something and line it with sandpaper, then throw your beans in there and shake it up for a few minutes before putting them into water. It scuffs up the outer layer and makes them easier to germinate. Peace.
