Gifted humidor

I was gifted a rather swanky humidor today, I have had a quick look through the search function to see about humidors and figure most posts are in regards to the wooden ones,

just seeing if anyone could let me know if this fridge style would be any good for curing/drying, the wooden shelf inserts are removable also so no wooden if that changes anything,

any advice is appreciated

thanks

That’s a nice unit! I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be used, The only thing might be if it was used, is there any residual smell it might give the weed, if in doubt, try a few buds and see what happens. Back in my cigar smoking days that would have been a huge score!

yeh cool thank u, there seems to be a “water tray missing” and spent all night googling the model number to find a spare or replacement with not much joy do u know if it would be just a open container of water or something special ? I have never had anything to do with cigars or drying/curing weed in humidors so this is all a learning curve

There is a good chance that it's just a small tray that you put a wet sponge in.

Does this have any temperature regulation? Or is it just humidity control?

I think it’s just a temp gauge and the humidity must work from that? After scouring the net last night I don’t think it’s a very expensive model and the units not branded with a compnay name and the instructions are the same, the only mention of anything is just the model number “sw-cig-ac-0001” and searching that brings up a big bit of f-all
