Well I think you are pretty lucky to have such fine specimens, it would be a shame to let it go to waste. I wouldn't recommend pollinating your whole female and ruining the buds like that. Instead, you could either regenerate the female and clone her. Flower the cutting right away and dust her with some pollen you saved from the male, a couple of weeks into flowering. Or you can try pollinating a few small buds with a brush (fans off) and placing a small sandwich baggie over it for a day. The next day you remove the baggie and it should be safe(r), maybe a few straggler seeds here and there if you're not careful. i hear you can store pollen i the freezer for up to a year or so if stored right. So, you gonna hook me up if you do this... right? ;-)

I may or may not try. I still have 30+ seeds from the same Blueberry bagseed, so I have a highly likely chance of trying again later even if I don't do it now.

ROFL I've always felt happy about finding seeds. I have a vial thats a total mix, including some cheap mex, but it might be good if grown in good conditions.
We just got lucky and got an Ak47 seed in the last trip to the dispensary! Can't wait to grow that! Just not now, working on my bubblegum seed I lucked upon ! :) Damn I'm lucky!bongsmilie

Sample Nug! This is the drying cycle of my sample nug, til it was nice and crispy.
Rhinowreck LST:
Smooth, slight popping and fert taste (haven't been fed since a couple days before sample nug taken)

Starting weight 4.7 with drying wire attached. Minus 0.3 for weight of wire on all pictures and weights. So starting weight really was 4.4 grams.
Ending weight without wire or stem 1.0 gram.

Good 50/50 high more heady, which I expected since it was taken early. I'd say it was one of the 3 smallest nug tops.

Enjoy pictures!

It's still growing, just harvested a couple sample nugs, probably 2 grams sampled so far.

I think the 42w-2700k cost me like $10 each, I got 2 of those. Then I got the multipacks for some from home depot, can't remember how much those cost, probably a couple bucks a bulb, and I got some from walmart for 97cents each so the bulbs didnt really cost me too much. Maybe 40-50 dollars for lights with the 6500 and 2700k light ranges.

Cool pics showing the loss of weight, but the wire made it inaccurate. I would just cut the buds off the stem and throw them in a small container which you tear before weighing. It would dry faster that way too, which is nice for samples. Love your thread, keep it up.

The wire is a set weight, it wont lose or gain weight over time. Its easy to go -0.3 from what the scale reads. Plus that wire is how I hang to dry, makes it easy on me, and I have tons of wire available.

rhinowreck LSt closeup.... i think the trichs are milky now...

(side note: the venus fly trap died in winter when there was no room in the grow area before males were weeded out. They are supposed to be bulbs though, so maybe it will come back to life, trying to rejuvinate it now.)
