Week 1.5
Defoliated some more, and started boom feeding. Just using Sensi Bloom A&B, Ph'ed 6.0 70°. Pulled some massive leaves today! I also noticed the tiny hairs on the girls too, more so In the G.I.JOSE Grow vs the Earth Dust / Giixer grow. Man I pulled some Jurassic Park leaves! Cheers Everyone!

Good morning everybody! so it turns out I have two males in my grow both of them are blue Hawaiian. For those that are interested I did a short video on how do I identify males and the development of my rootball. that most of all really concerned me. I'll put some pics down below the fact of it normally I graduate from Solo Cup play my way towards my final pot usually that consists of four transplants. As an experiment on this grow I went straight from my Solo Cup to my final pot which really stunted the development of my root ball as you can see from the pictures. Cheers!

This is week 3 of flower! The @Giixer grow light is doing awsome! Unfortunately I'm having some issues with my critical hog she is showing spotting on her leaves. I got in touch with the green Sunshine Company which in turn told me that I need to water more often. But the other girls are not showing signs like the critical hog. The buds are really tiny, I'm hoping that they will actually come up on size when we get further on. Hope everybody's grows are flourishing. Cheers!-G.I.JOSE

Have you used anything to revitalize your reused soil? Something like Real Grower's Recharge? Sorry I can't offer up any other suggestions. I don't grow in soil.
No I havent. Unfortunately i had to reuse the soil from my last grow, i kinda figure that is the problem. I got to get rid of it after this grow. Money was tight at the time I started this grow. Well lesson learned. Lol. What do you grow in?

I know firsthand how it is when money's tight which is one of the reasons why I grow in hydroton. That Recharge stuff isn't cheap (to me anyway) ..but I'm pretty sure it'll allow you to reuse your soil over and over again. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the product can chime in on that.

If you dont mind me asking what kind of a setup do you have? How much to start out, and is it hard to maintain?

I use a single PowerGrower by General Hydroponics. It's very similar to their WaterFarm (shown below) ..It's a drip/RDWC hybrid and it's housed inside of a converted computer cabinet. Since the cab only has an effective growing area of a little over 2'x2', it's perfect for growing autos but that's not to say that it's not a good choice for photos. Since its reservoir is only a little over 2.5 gallons, there's a need to top off at least once a day when late flowering rolls around. I also do reservoir changes about every five days or so but that's just based on my own preference. I top off with un-pH'd tap water and run Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom for both veg and flowering. I'm on the last week of my first grow with this set up and I haven't checked or adjusted the pH once. So far, so good. I'm currently using bennies to help maintain the roots and res but I'll be running it sterile the next time around using hydrogen peroxide. Using bennies includes too many bottles of overpriced stuff that I'd rather not have to pay for (AN's Tarantula, Carboload and Sensizyme) ..So the short answer to your question regarding maintenance is that it's very simple if you run a sterile system and not overly complicated if you choose to use bennies. There are a ton of mods that can be done and a ton of well documented grows that show how capable these little units are. Here's a good example from our own Dr. Amber Trichome. Here's another legendary grow.

Week 7 down! both grows seem to be having some kind of deficiencies. I also found mold on one of my plants. I wanted to clipping that off and separating it from the rest of the girls. I also saw some of the tips turning brown on some of the plants so I resorted to finding the Advanced Nutrients watering schedule. the website stated for me to give to liters per plant of water and food every other day. This caused my plants to become waterlogged oh, you can see the drooping leaves. I'm going to let these dry out and then feeding water them.
