BIG mistake!

I decided to once again, raise the planters, so my seedlings could be even closer to the light. Was not paying attention when I did this, and I left the CFLs all to one side of the plant.
Naturally, 6 hours later, the plant has decided to start growing towards the light.

Quick fix:
Using hooks made out of paper clips to prop up the little plant. Same stuff, pluss cotton twine will be used once i start LST

Have repositioned the lights, and will now HOPEFULLY carry on the grow with better luck! :P

Well, all things considered:

Crisis met, Crisis dealt with, Time to light up!

hahahahahaha. if thats the biggest mistake you make then your doin better than alot of us. i have split the plant down the center. snapped branches, forgot to turn the pump on after water change, and splashed nutrient water all over some leaves. this plant has been through hell yet she still is puttin our for me.

LOL! Thats good news, if I ever got any! Will be heading home soon to see how the plants are doing. Updates then!

Cheers.

The plants now have a 5 watt pc fan blowing on them constantly.
This is in aid of lowering temperatures, and promoting stem development.
The previously tilting seedling has now been straightened up, and is growing straight again.

One of the seedlings seems to have some slight deformity. 2 of the leaf blades are physically joined together. Anything wrong here? (ref. pictures).

So now, approaching the 2 week mark. Hoping to start some LST by next week, assuming the plants will have developed enough by then.

One of the pictures shows some closet space I just cleared up. dimensions LxWxH -- 4x2x6 feet. This may become a permanent grow closet for 4 - 6 plants.

Dedicated 5 watt PC fan for each seedling. Gives a light breeze.

seems like you got yourself a mutant there :) happens sometimes. nothing to worry about.
new closet is looking nice. 250w hps in there would be nice i belive if you can remove the heat :)

There is a window about 3 feet away from the doors.
This would be the best option, seeing as the only other way to vent would be demolishing a hole in my 11 inch thick concrete wall.

The HPS lamp would be great! I just don't have the cash for a ballast right now. Hopefully will get one in time for next grow... Or maybe get a mystery windfall! :D Maybe I will rig it up with CFLs for now.

I also need to grab the fans and other stuff soon.

Thanks for checking in, quietguy420.

Not much new happening with my grow. Will post tomorrow! Assuming some miraculous growth has occurred!

this would definately take care of some heat issues if you get a 250. puts out a ton of air. the only draw back is that they are loud.

UPDate

Sorry for not checking in for a few days. Had some stuff to do.

Plants are growing steadily. Pictures shown are week 2 (day14)

What appears to be some minor nute burn has showed up on the tips of a few leaves.
It would be great if someone could confirm what is wrong with the plants, and help me out with a solution!
There is a faint weedy smell starting to develop too! :weed:

The plants have been spending 12 hours a day outdoors in the bright sunshine, and a further 12 indoors, under 4 x 24 W CFLs, as was the original setup.

I figure the natural light would be nice for the plants!

I really want to name them... But I feel doing so this early would mean my being highly presumptuous on the sex of my plants.

One is larger than the other. The leaves are generally wider as well as longer than in the other plant.
Both are of similar height. I am thinking I ,may just have 2 different strains(yay)

Feedback welcome!

Posting pics in a half hour. just uploading them ;)

I think the pictures worked this time :)

Notice the browned tips on some of the leaves?

I plant to start LST now. I know its only 2 weeks in, and my plant is still tiny as hell, but I think I will go for it. Completely bonsai style :leaf:

I tacked the plant down early this morning. It is now just about lunchtime and the top is already pointed back up again, with some improved leaf development on the exposed side.

Will clip some shots in another 2 days, so we can distinguish whether or not the LST this early is going to make a difference!

Using paperclips to tie them down at the moment. twine will be used once the plants are larger.

For now though, help me out with these browning leaves!
Also, looking at the shape of the leaves... Would be great if someone else could confirm my "mostly or all sativa" tag on these puppies! :)

alittle to early to see indice\sativa difference tbh. but soon :)

the brown tips could look like a little hint of nute burn but nothing to worry about aslong as it dont get much worse. i have tips like that all over the place

Sweet. Watering with distilled water for rest of week.

Will let whats left in the soil to work its wonders!
More concerned about how the LST is gonna turn out this early :)

I hope I get sativas. Prefer the high... Though I do want a tiny plant :)

Treating "her" like a baby. super gentle, and very slight bend. will increase it more daily!

The plants are responding well to the process thus far, and have aimed back up to the light, now we wait to see if a second stem forms :)

i don't ever want to grow a sativa again. in fact i threw away three sativa clones yesterday. two were a few weeks old and the other was a couple months old. those take so freakin long to flower. some people have the patience but mine wore out along time ago. this is a 6 month old plant. will be 7 months by the time its done. had to make room for the ak47's
