GH Himilayan Gold outdoors?

I am an outdoor grower located at the 45th parallel(northern US) and I was wondering if GH Himalayan Gold would fully mature to its full potential where i am at. If anyone has grown this strain please share any outdoor information you have on it, i am especially interested in yield and finish date at full potential.

Thank you in advance for you're time and information.

It's basically a Goo cut. I have a Goo cut that yields 4-5 lbs dry if grown in full sun. I had the HG last year and 1 this year, and it didn't yield nearly as good( 1-1 1/2 lbs. ) It finishes around the first of Oct. north of Sac at 1500ft.
If you can find a Goo clone I would that instead, and if your buying seeds I would get something different.

wheezer that is innacurate info.

Im assuming you are referring to the Afghooey ?
HG is predominantly Indian genetics.... not even Anywhere close to afghooey.... "Nepal and North Indian." is what the GHseeds site says....
secondly, finish time is More reliant on latitude than elevation....though elevation plays a roll.
45North is nowhere close to the same growing season as norcal, a few degrees makes a huge difference. your october 1st finisher could be an end of october up north, even if same cut.

Durban --- i feel ya man, i'm at 44N on the east coast.
In theory, it will do well up here. I have been meaning to try it and next year i will be trying the Fems of it.
i have read mixed results, but most are good, some are excellent. for only $30 or so, its worth the money in my opinion to atleast try it out.

strains i can fully reccomend for you, Guerilla Gold, Mighty Might, Royal Dane and Danish Passion, and any hybrids using those genetics.

next year i'm doing a femenized plot with 30-50 fem seeds, about 12 different kinds... and all are the cheapest fems on the market. i want to see if any are actually worth growing up here. i have to harvest end of sept, with a few strain exceptions like kc33 who finishes october but can handle mold/rain etc, or else all my shit will just mold as soon as it gets ripe and ready... which is a MAJOR bummer

bottomline, i have no current knowledge of FEM seeds that do well up north available for purchase.... those strains i listed are regular seeds only.
i say go for it man, but get some solid and proven genes that were bred up north by folks like us... just incase ;)

Well I dont know the technical make-up of any strain, but I know someone that grew HG last year and 1 was in the garden this year. I grew the ridge Goo this year and the 2 strains could be mixed together they were sooo close. You don't think seed co lie about where their strains come from?? I got some beach-front property in Arizona for sell!
I'm telling you from experience that it's the same! believe what you want....I've seen it with my own 2 eyes...have you??

After reading rdg comment on it...it could be that the person that had the hg was mistaken about what it was. That happens more often that we know. So in that respect, we could all be wrong
Don't believe everything youread that the seed co tell ya....they do lie!!

for sure wheezer, seedy bastards slangin seeds.... meant no disrespect man.

personally i'd be surprised if they had similar lineage to the goo. if it had goo in it, it would cost Way more ;)
+ i know for a fact that GHSeeds has travelled to india for breeding stock before, so i'm sure there is SOME truth to the genetics.

that may be, and the Goo may have some Indian genetics in it, Idk, all I know is they are of the same genos that's for sure.

Watch that video if your doubting the lineage of GH Himilayan Gold, its a fucking awesome video, watch the african one too. thats how proper seed companies get there strains, Wheezer most like your Goo is some hybrid of GH HG, because GH is legit about where they get there shit, go to the farthest places in the world where growing marijuana is a necessity of life, and sample the landraces that have been inbreeding for centuries. then they take the seeds back to amsterdam and stabalize the strain

Popped a few kc33 couple weeks ago. So far they are the most fast and hardy starters I have ever grown. Cheapest seeds I ever bought too. Kc brains is the man for making all these affordable outdoor strains

ok, maybe I said it wrong, I really didn't mean to say that the seed co is a comlete liar about the genetics, I certainly don't know for sure about the genetics of anything really you know? I doubt very seriously though if the Goo has HG genetics in it per say, cause it's been around longer, but it may have the same parentage somwhere down the line, that's my main point here, that they are VERY similar in their genetic make-up. They grow VERY similarly, and the smoke when finished taste exactly the same(from a cut of HG that I got from another grower who bought the seeds from GH.) So, if your in Cali, I would look for a Goo cut insead of the GH version because the Cali clone cut of Goo yields much much better than the GH version and the smokes the same. There, maybe that clears up what I meant.

Id definitely have to agree with wheezer on a similar parentage of the two strains. HG has nepalese and north indian parents. North india is next to Pakistan which is very closeley tied to Afghaneestan; very close to the Hindu Kush and it's surrounding mountains. Goo is a great strain, HG is a good seed with varying phenotypes. I should be starting 5 or 10 HG's for the summer maybe ill find a keeper. Peace y'all keep growing

agreed good point

My fave and strongest outdoor grower is Nepalese Jam. Always a winner. My Himalayan gold is looking a bit spindly n strange. First time I've grown it this year. Mines outdoors too
