Hi all. Anyone running GH floranova In their dwc.

Seems to be the only gh product I can get in nz.

I'm just concerned as I'm told is organic and I believe dwc is better suited to mineral based nutes.

I'll be running 5 gal buckets with one plant in each.

Man, i like the floranova in my run to waste setups, but when I use it in my recirculating setups it pisses me off, so I don't use it any longer in that type of setup. It clogs pumps, filters, etc.
it gets brown shit on everything.
Maxi series would be better, if they got that too. It's cheaper, but it's an excellent one part also, yet cleaner.

Do ya add any root cleaner in the nutes?? Cause i figure the micro, and a few other nutes make dark ass roots.

Floranova doesn't use the micro. Its a bloom and veg combo with other additives. I believe gh makes roots brown

are you sure about that? I heard dry nutes are a bad idea for hydro because they have more salts than liquid.

I've done it before and harvested some dank. However it can get out of hand easily due to the organic parts and cause clogging and other gunk leading to more frequent change outs.
I recommend hot water to fully dissolve it as best as possible before adding to cool watered res.

Not sure about DWC but I used the stuff in my first run of drippers and huge mistake. The drippers didn't drip for long lol. Stopped using it and switched to different setup as well. It's god awful shit to wash off your hands and looks like brown goo, I seemed to get it everywhere but in the Res lol.

i tried it in rdwc. the only thing i didnt' like about it was how much of it settled to the bottom of my res. even after stirring it up again and again, it seemed like some of it never dissolved.

@kiwipaulie
see if you can get GH flora duo A&B. use it at 1:1 for veg, and 1:3 for bloom. the 1:3 ratio comes out to the same NPK as Lucas formula which is a proven winner for growing MJ.

I tried the duo when it first came out and yeh, it's good. Just as expensive as the floraseries to use though. And you end up using just as much:-(
15ml combined of the duo or most floraseries recipes, is equal to 5ml of floranova grow or the bloom, or the maxiseries grow or bloom.
Floranova costs 3X's as much then the floraseries per volume, but again, is 3X's more potent.
Maxi works great. And its cheaper because you don't pay for the water.

i only use 10gallons of water a week so nute prices don't bother me. if i had a 100gal res, maxibloom would be what i'd use.

did you have the same issue of the floranova not totally dissolving or sinking to the bottom?

Yes and no. Usually a circulation pump in the reservoirs is enough to keep that from happening with the floranova.
