GG#4 Is Overated

You can lead a grower to a "clone only" but that doesn't make him a good grower. Ninety percent of growers shouldn't grow at all, and giving them an "elite" won't change that. Pretty much every glue i've seen is shit, cause it's grown like all the other crap i see.
When you see it grown right, you will understand!
Ninety percent of people who make statistics up out of their assholes shall be discredited from henceforth.

Holy nute burn lol
3 days darkness before shop. no nute burn, I don't feed for last 2 weeks, so the plant can cannibalize its self.

veg time was about 4+ weeks iirc, 68-70 days flower. I don't watch reality tv, and I don't post numbers. +1gpw average per harvest.

GG#4 bumped up more growers games in Michigan than any other one thing in the last few years.
Not your cup of Tea? Why piss in someone else's? Make u feel like a Big Boy?
I agree with much of what has been said in this thread. Yield isn't great, looks pretty good(looks amazing next to some people's stuff), tastes better than anything else I've got (personal preference.) Stretches like crazy and I don't get big nugs like I see in the pictures on here. Most all of the top branches will flop under their own weight by 45 days at the latest.

That said, it is my top overall strain, from patient preference to my own. Also have deathstar, fruity pebbles OG and a wicked-looking purple-n-white strain called "Michigan Kush". Another one called Rockstar Kush that I got from a pack of seeds from a breeder named Med Man. These are all poor to average yielding strains in the commercial sense. I'm on the verge of shelving the FPOG&rockstar in favor of going after monocrops of GG#4 as this is the most consistently satisfying one out of the bunch. Plus, it encroaches into the other plants in my SCROG and towers over them, making it difficult to try to have anything else around it.

Gg#4 is only over rated if you think it sits at the top of the weed pyramid. Otherwise, its pretty good shit. Good yield too idk what that dude up there is talking about lol however, i seem to enjoy shit like "mendocino purps, grape ape, fruity pebbles" much better. Were talking the ACTUAL CUTS not hand me down bag seeds its NOT the same.

I have two different batches of GG#4 right now. One is quality medicine, maybe 7.5-8/10 overall, and the other is bunk, garbage schwag. Same cut, same circle of growers, two different rooms -- one dialed, one wasn't. Some of the best chuckers and growers in the world consider it an elite COMMERCIAL strain, and that combined with my experience lends more credence to its quality and potential than a few randoms on RIU, no offense intended. And again, it's considered a top shelf commercial strain, not necessarily a top shelf head stash strain. If you want that, you should be trying to find one of the GG#4 parents, Sour Dub.

I always hear the same bullshit with the glue fanboys, "You must have had a fake or can't grow pot very well." Sorry, it's overhyped and not that great. Maybe you weren't smoking on anything better than glue before glue, when a lot of us were and still are. I can understand thinking it's the best thing since the discovery of marijuana itself if you've never had anything better.
Just out of curiosity, can you provide some examples of what you are growing or have grown so we can see whether you should even be someone that folks should pay attention to?

Nope its not. I was only sharing my Gg4 experience. Real cuts I've sampled at cups an from other growers. It good but doesn't excite my palate much. Great bag appeal but I go for other traits more than looks an good yield

All of the GG#4 I sampled at the HTCC in Denver this year was mediocre at best...the "GG#4" I saw in the stores was just outright bad pot. If you're judging quality of a strain based on the schwag that gets sold the stores, of course it isn't going to be impressive.

BTW, I don't even run GG4 so don't have a dog in the race

An I don't grow it don't want to just ran it for fun for buddy he loves glue.
