Getting Weed Fronted?

Hey, this is a question mainly to the people who sell their product for profit.

I was wondering, from a dealers perspective, how do you feel about fronting weed to somebody?

If you're unfamiliar with the term, it means basically giving someone x amount of weed one day, then they give you the money to pay for it at a later date.

Usually within a week of pickup payment is complete.

Does it depend on the person? Do you never front under any circumstances? Are you casual with it?

I ask because I do this sometimes and probably about 50% of the time the dealer does it and the other 50% they don't, with some shady reason as to why not... usually something like "oh I can't this time..." or something like that.

I don't really see why they don't, other than they would need the full amount of cash to go pick up product again, that would make sense, but if it's a regular customer, as I am, what's the big deal? I realize if I don't pay the money back at the date already determined, I probably won't be able to go back to that dealer, so why wouldn't I pay on time?

(also, Idk if this makes any difference, but where I work, I hook up my connect with free shit all the time, free drinks from my work, he pretty much knows if he comes in and I'm there he's not gonna have to pay for it... I would think it would go both ways... right? The idea I mean, I'm definitely not expecting free bud, but it doesn't seem right to deny a front for a couple days after the stuff I do for him...)

Maybe they got a front too. And need the cash upfront instead of waiting around. They may have a deadline too on this.

for me it's all about the person i'm dealin with! When i was younger i fronted a lot more, and ended up losing money in the process, cause i'm not the type to pull a gun for a grand, then go to the pen for 10. Now I have a select few of my tru bros that get on the front, that i know have money and won't act shady. peace

ya. i usually will front to anyone i trust once. if they fuck up never again. not in large quantities might i add. there still peeps who owe me money, but its nice to do it for the broke homeobys that are loyal enough to pay u back the day they get their pay check. plus when they go to pay u back they usually buy more :)

keep it to people you trust, and dont front too much or too little. everyone is human and if anyone had a 'free' lb dropped on em, they might start thinking about bad stuff. if you front too little, its easy to have it fall thru the cracks, depending on how many clients you have/how organized you are. as far as your connect not wanting to front sometimes, it probably has to do with his/her financial situation at the time. if theyre strapped for cash, theyre gonna want to reserve their product for cash clients.

As a smoker, I don't like to have weed fronted, I don't like paying for stuff I've already smoked.

I've fronted weed to people before and there are always those ones who just don't want to pay for it. Now I only get weed for people if I have their cash first.

I used to get two oz.'s fronted to me every week (not a hell of a lot of weight), mainly because my connection was my boy (who I set up in the game in the first place) and he knew that I would always come back with either the money or the bud (it was always the money though)

So....

Maybe they got a front too. And need the cash upfront instead of waiting around. They may have a deadline too on this.
This is why I RARELY fronted weed to anyone. There were obvious special conditions as to why I would front anything(the earth was in line with venus, the moon was waning...) and it was because I had the money to cover the difference and the person I was fronting to was trustworthy and I knew that I would inevitably see them within a matter of days.

Other than that, if I barely knew you, or didn't like you (probably cuz of your shitty negotiation skills or reckless gossip about the prices) you paid for the product right then and there.

I had quotas to meet, and therefore, business had to stay consistent. Couldn't afford people trying to duck me and not pay me what they owed.

"So you're a protest servant?"

Sal was cool...but a rare breed when it comes to pot dealers. I always tried to be cool with my small amount of clientele. Gotta keep the custies happy...

IMO its a bad idea... BUT I'm sympathetic to a smoker who needs some green. S, if the person is family or a close friend, I'll do it (even though its still a bad idea). If you front to a loved one... and they don't pay you when they say they will, it will hinder your relationship with that person. You don't want that. The best way to avoid that situation is NOT TO DO IT... but I have a soft heart for people who are close to me... so I break that rule sometimes. Rules are meant to be broken aye?
