Getting to the point of giving up

Right so just chopped down my like 5th plant that never budded because i messed up, i believe a week of heat stress and nute burn f-ed this one up. I'm going to try one last time with one last plant and if i don't get any bud off that i'm giving it and i'm just not meant to grow :(

What steps can i take to make sure my final one buds (if that does bud i will do more, if not it's just a waste of my time and electric bill)

Firstly i am going to buy myself a digital PH meter (as i only have probe that's analogue) and get myself a digital temperature/humidity thing (as i only have cheap ones that aren't brilliant)
I'm thinking about switching from MG soil which i always use to bio bizz light mix.
I'm sticking with my cfl's (150w large one, two smaller 30w ones)

But i'm considering doing an auto seed just because of it's simplicity. Also going to get a greenhouse seed as i hear they have good genetics, in past i've just brought which ever seed was cheapest - though i think this last one was a lowryder. Are there any very easy auto strains ?

Also i'm thinking about buying a ppm meter, will that help me the over nute problems i had ?

Finally i'm sticking with the nutes i already have bio bizz range and some black strap molasses and i might buy some epsom salts

Let me know if i've missed everything. What else can i do to make sure it's pretty much a fool proof grow - if there is such a thing.

P.s my grow space is about 1.5 metre's tall

dont go with greenhouse if ur on ur last straw... they have a high hermie rate...

go easy on feeding... stay within a water, water, feed schedule. just use ur bio bizz, no additives.

what size pots do you use and what rate was you feeding your lady?
i use bio bizz line and have had nothing but fantastic results.
i use 15 litre (3 gal) pots. and feed at a rate of 500ml water and 2 ml bio grow in veg,
and 750ml water and 2-3ml bio grow, 2ml bio bloom and 2 ml topmax in flower.

Well, biobiz and MG should have a bunch of goodies already in them. When did you start feeding with the MG soil? Its loaded with fertilzer already. You may not need to feed at all while vegging and try 1/4 strength on the nutes during flowering, feeding once a week. I recommend Paradise seeds Vertigo for a good auto. 100% feminised and 100% germ rate with mine. I dont think you need the ppm meter. Unless you use RO water, its reading is very inaccurate. Just reduce manufacturers measurements and youll be fine. Thats all I do. And if using RO, just add some dolomite lime (and cal-mag, the epsom salt will cover the mag.) to your soil and you shouldnt have a problem with ph. I use the cheap probe meter myself and it does just fine for me. If you can germinate the seed, remember less is more sometimes, and youll be fine.

Growing isn't really that hard as long as you stick to a few easy rules.. CLEAN READY TO GO ROOM! LIGHT REGIMENT! FOOD REGIMENT! If you cannot make any of these things work then you should stop :D

My grandma grows weed in MG soil and her plants look fantastic. Maybe you need a good grow book with lots of pictures. Theres a thread here where you can download dozens of great grow books.
Go easy on the dam nutes and let your pots dry out some before you water. Most of all, leave the plant alone and be patient.

Best wishes :peace:

Well my last plant i hardly gave it any nutes, then it got to flower so i feed it (but only little bits) and it suffered nute burn, so i'm guessing the chemical nutes in MG soil isn't good for the plant. My others i think were nute burn as well. My first plant i grew i had no idea what i was doing and that budded so i just don't get why i can't do it again. Does anyone know of any good online reading material that i might find useful ? also if i use bio bizz light mix for the soil should i stick to their feeding guide (on their website if those that want to check it out) but just do it 1/4 strength ?

A common misconception about MG soil is that it's shit for plants. That's simply not true.

MG soil grows beautiful plants, with a harsh downside. The bud tastes like ass, chemical ass at that.

Do not nute MG soil as it has an unknown ammount of nutrients in it already and if your determined to use nutes with MG soil then wait for at least a month+ before adding nutrients and flush for 3 weeks before harvest.

Bro your going to fuck up again.
Get the thermo/hygro, get the ph meter and adjusters, no molassis. Dont use mg soil its too 'hot'. Get temps 75-80, and rh 40-55. Follow the feeding schedule of AZMAN and most importantly get a 150w(or above) HPS for flowering, the cfls will not give you chunk, they give you soft spindly crap but are good to use in veg.

I dont know how hot it gets in your grow room but a fan might be helpful too. I like to use a fan just to make my stems a lil stronger when they are still a seedling.

I would follow what was said above or look into making some super soil. Just make sure you can feed it with reverse osmosis water and thats it. No nutes from start to finish. It has made my life so much easier. The only thing i give the plants besides r/o water is a shot of cal mag every other feeding and i use compost tees from time to time.

Never, never, never use MG or any other pre-nuted soil, not even Black Cow. Only use neutral potting soil with perlite at a 50/50 mixture. Pre-fertilized/Time released soil doesn't give you the freedom of controlling the application of nutrients yourself; you plant your plants and all you can do is hope for the best? Take control of your garden. A 25 lb bag of neutral, rich, dark potting soil only goes for about $1.50 to $2.00 at Wal mart. Just check in the garden area. MG can be used but why even take a chance and put yourself through so much guesswork and aggravation? Use what will work. Did you say that you used MG and also applied nutrients? Double whammy. Even when applying nutrients using neutral soil, remember, less is more. Hope this helps.

I use MG moisture control soil. I don't nute in veg, just straight water. Once in flower I use just botanicare pro bloom.

If you're killing pot plants, one of the harder plants to kill, you probably shouldn't be growing.

This is why i was leaning too the bio bizz soil at least it's kinda of documented about how much nutes is in the soil. And i have a fan in there, it's just in Oct when my plant was growing there was a random heat wave for like a week and pushed the temps up over 100 but normally it's about 76-84 in here. The reason i don't want to use MG is because it has the chemical nutes in and at least if i have soil with organic nutes in it will be harder for me to burn it. And Rj41 it's not like everyone becomes an expert after one plant, i've had experts tell me they've made noob mistakes and they've been growing for 10 years.

I don't have the money nor space for hps - if i added a hps i'd have to add larger fans. I've seen some plants that have had really good results with cfl throughout the grow.
