Getting Serious- White Russian/AK47 feminized

hola!

first grow journal, white russian and ak47 feminized. right at 28 days in since sprouting, taking these maybe another month in veg and then flowering. anything less than 2 1/2lbs and ill be disappointed, probably my 34-37 grow with serious ak47, first time with white russian. read the wr can be better than the ak, which im stoked about. also, wanted to give the fems a chance, seems to be a reoccuring theme theyre more prone to hermie and issues... talked to simon personally, assured me he spent years developing different stress methods to achieve a stable fem version of his strains.

started them off in growdan cubes, first sprouting i moved them to my infamous jiffy cups in tubberware res's, 2 weeks ago moved again into 10g tubs with planter pots using hydroten. used half strength lucas until first transplanting, then full strength 8/16 with r/o water. macro just cal-mag. last week emptied res and refilled, the ak47 with lucas, the white russian with CANNA SUBSTRA, canna designed nutes for non recirculating res's. heard through the wire it was phenomenal, so far the wr has leaped ahead of the ak that tomorrow im changing the ak47s res to canna also. both plants were similiar in size, now the wr is definitely bigger and bushier.

lighting was 150w first week, then 400w hps PL with solarmax bulb.

the wr is on the left, the ak47 on the right. both tubs have 2 60g air pumps apiece with four airstones each.

heres some new pics, taken 5 days later. definitely pleased with the results since switching to CANNA SUBSTRA, over all growth is quantified each new day. plan on another month of veg, then flipping to 12/12 on dec1. been diligent tending to these 2 plants, 2 1/2lbs is going to take a lot of training and attentive care to reach that goal. but, anything is doable as long as you DO it right.

canopy is 4'x3'6'' here.



the ak47 on the right is larger, but the white russian on the left is much bushier. trying to keep the canopy flushas possible, that when i switch to 12/12 the top is even while trimming out the bottom foliage.

ak47 laying some foundation. this strain is a monstrosity in any hydro set up, almost as legendary as the plant itself. if anyone has grown ak in hydro, you know exactly what im talking about. this strain will swallow a polluted lake, then turn around and ''wink'' at you...

lol, i know, i know, 2 1/2lbs seems like a stretch! but, its doable. more time and effort = more yeild. still posting pics, watch these effin' bitches go nuclear

my goal isnt as outlandish as it seems. both strains yeild extremely well, with the right growing method over 2lbs is easy in terms of aspiration... not so easy in physical labor, lol.

quick update- just initiated flowering
5 days in at this point. slightly concerned about height restrictions... these things are going to be monstrosities.


since i have way to much time on my hands and not enough ACCESS pussy, i counted 93 shoots on the WR, 78 on the AK.


after the stretch is finished, ill prune the lower shoots and finish tying off.

ok, since last entry, ive painted a corner of the room and added a wall to reflect more light. would have liked to use mylar, however, budget restrictions made flat white ceiling paint the only option.
a majority of the budsites have already started to lean with it, so this weekend i had to utilize the''teepee method''. saw a grower a few years ago in a mag using it, looked legit. spent 8 hours and 2 bottles of captain tying all 54 of the WR budsites to the stakes... tedious!

this is the operations manager. dont let the cute face fool you, he's on parole for several unprovoked cat attacks and a particularly heinous slober smear on a kid. 40lbs of boston brute!

hola! finally had time to perform a LONG overdue
rez change on the ak this evening. setting her in the chair
revealed to me (much to my surprise) how big my plants
truly are. the ak measures 6'x5'... did i mention massive?!?!

last week, i was certain the WR was going to far surpass
the ak in terms of yield, considering i have the indica pheno.
last 3 days, the ak has some shoots that im guessing are
going to produce 3-5 ounce colas like the WR. can you
say AWESOME?!!

ok, ok, finally changed her diapers. tried to hold out
as long as possible before i swapped her into
some clean sheets, the PH was fluctuating
a lot. used full strength CANNA SUBSTRA FLORA,
CALMAG and a touch of ginger. lol, nevermind the
ginger. so... whatcha yall think, homies? not bad for
a 2 month veg! god, i couldnt fathom having a 12' or
16'ft ceiling to work with. i assume with proper room, and
not defoliating(slows growth, but it does produce a
SHIT LOAD of budsites) i coulda easily pulled 3lbs.

hate to say it, `but damn! i do good work!
loooooovvveee to grow like i love to fuck (sorry for the self glorification)
