Getting my wisdom tooth pulled

So i have an appointment for FEB. 22 to get one of my wisom teeth pulled just wondering if anyone else has had 1 pulled.By the way what kind of cool pain-killers will they be giving me for the pain.

had all 4 done plus a few molars. have fun. they gave me 30 vicodin for 1 tooth extraction once. i thought that was a little much but didn't complain.

Got all 4 pulled about 4 years ago. They put an IV in and told me to count down from 20, made it to 16 I think. I woke up with a hot nurse taping me on the cheek saying its time to go. Also got 30 lorecet 750

Yea they better put my dumb-ass right to sleep because i hate doctors and i hate dentists...lol.....OOO 30 vicodin...ill be in heaven.

be grateful, when my wisdom teeth were coming in, i couldnt afford to get them taken out like they should have been, they came in one at a time, one after the other; longest year of my life. but yea, they will prob give you an outrageous amount of pain pills

the pain pills they give you are VERY addictive.I have a future brother in law so fucked up with pain pills it is controlling his every move , He started with Vicodin after a car crash of course over time your tolorance builds up to them.. Then you take more , and more and more , before you know it your hooked. you have to "kick" to get off them OR get stronger pills.. well This "knucklehead" started using oxycontin and now CANT LIVE WITHOUT THEM... its a shame how that pill can control your life so much .... He is a fucking slave to it ..I would warn anyone taking any kind of opiet based pill to be very careful

it depends all dentist can give the script of their choice, and some people have more addictive tendancies. I had one bottom tooth pulled and could not afford the others they suggested i have taken out. They gave my two scripts of vikes and i never had the second filled, but when my hubby had his done we ate all of his pills and they where diffrent. I was not put under that was alot of extra cash and the moment it was gone i felt 100 times better than i had in weeks!!!! I went to work and smoked a bowl with my co workers something i had not been able to do for a week due to pain!!! I am so glad that bitch is outta my mouth

I agree that toothaches is the worst pain.. Its tough to work, sleep , eat , drink, Aleve always helped me .. I also agree on the "its the person" with the pills thing ..

i also had all 4 wisdoms out at once,,I was put under,,and when I awoke,,the surgeon and assistant,,and the anesthiesioligist and my buddy to pick me up were standing there looking at me,,through squinty eys and still half out I hear my buddy Rob say,,you ready to go ,,I say Rob,,,,,Rob ya know what I wanna do,,,,,,and he say's ,,no ,,whats that,,and in front all of them,,,,not really knowing it I say,,I wanna go home and smoke a big fat joint,,immediately the Doc turns to Rob and says,,,Your not going to let him do that,,are you?!?!?!?!lmao,,,hahahaha,,,Rob ,,guilty as hell cuz he smokes,,,,says,,oh no, no no,,he must be delirious,,he doesn't even do drugs,,,rofl,,then I get a prescipt for 30 perks,,he doesn't do drugs,,I'll bet that dentist could tell the last time I ate pussy ,,proddin around in there,,,hahahaha,,and about addictiveness to any and most drugs,,if you got a solid head on your shoulders,,and a strong will,,,you can beat down any fukkin thing that tries to ruin your life,,I was on perks for a year and a half,,waiting on a back surgery specialist,,I totally abused them,,was getting 200 every 21 days,,but in the end after my surgery knew,,time to drop this shit,,I have beaten a few things,,and from experience can say,,you need to want too,,plain and simple

I had a vise years ago.... I totally agree a person has to "Want It " In order to stop using whatever it may be ..I beat cocaine(20yrs ago) and I beat booze.(3 yrs ago) .Cigarettes are next on my list of "Too Do's "

I have a good jaw.. never pull'd a tooth and never must, have all wisdom teeth fully grown !

hahahah woot i had them comming out at the age of 16

i had my done at 17 years old and had to be put under. i was comin out of it bout 10 minutes before they were done. couldnt open my eyes but vaguely remember the force of a jackhammer pullin and prodding at my mouth and the unmistakeable sound of cracking and breaking of bones(my impacted teeth lol). woke up and felt fine, later on wanted some good ass food to eat and was joking til the pain hit. downed a couple of percs and felt on top of the world and got a refill of percs later too. god i love percs.

I was awake the whole time when I got mine pulled but they gave me this pill before I got there and I had no idea what was happening.

Fuck... I got cheated.
No pills before, no laughing gas, no anesthesia. I got novacaine.
I did get some vicodin afterwards, but they didn't do shit for me.

i got all 4 pulled they gave be a bottle of hydrocodiene that i killed in a week, witha refil!

the last day of the first week i drank a bottle of burbon and took like 3 or 4 pills, my friend thought i was gonn adie but nit fawsome=- fuckin awsome case i feellike cdombining words right now and thats what happens around this time in the mourjniong when yours still g0on g from nihghts past

Dentsits tend to stick with the knowns. Vicodin, Percocet, Darvocet or Lortabs (loracet). If you have a particular pain killer that has worked well for you in the past, tell your dentist you would prefer that for pain management. You know what works best for you and a good dentist will respect the opinion of the patient. So ask for what you need...they will probably listen...just don't ask for a morphine patch...lol..may be a bit overkill for a little o'l wisdom tooth.....grin..

I got fucked, they just numbed me so I was awake during the whole thing. Plus they didn't give me any pain killers whatsoever.

I had all four removed at once. They were impacted (growing sideways) so they had to chisel through my jaw bone and then pull the wisdom teeth out in a few pieces. I was awake the entire time but had some crazy shit in an IV. They give me a prescription for hydrocodone.

That night my face swells so badly it looks like I have baseballs in my cheeks. The hydrocodone are making me puke nonstop and im still in tons of pain. I cant drink or eat anything and the next night I start getting VERY sick...I have not been able to hold down a drop or crumb of anything since the surgery and I am extremely dehydrated. My fever begins to climb and it eventually reaches 105 on the third day after the surgery.

I quickly get takin to the hospital and once there im checked in and givin a nice cozy room with an iv for fluids. They also give me some EXTREMELY strong shit in my IV. Whatever they put in my IV knocked me out within minutes but I felt like I was awake for HOURS.

My girlfriend visits me in the hospital during my secodn night there and she starts balling her eyes out...im completely delirious and in a complete daze from whatever they keep putting in my IV.

I was there for 4 days and every bit of it is a complete blur...all I remember is it wasnt a half bad experience...hahahaha I was on some crazy drug for 4 days straight and got fed by nurses. Showers and using the bathroom was almost impossible on the drug they were giving me but I found it amusing at the time (probably could have hurt myself pretty badly)

werd. i got the same deal.
it didn't hurt, but i could hear my teeth grinding and shit.
that was the worst.
