My brother wants to send me some trees for christmas, maybe like a 1/2. Going from AK to somewhere in the midwest, is it easy to get caught?

I've managed to send about 1.2g internationally. It was concealed very, very well though - both physically and in terms of scent.
Sniffer dogs are periodically used, by walking them repeatedly alongside a conveyer belt within postage sorting offices. If you take all the precautionary requirements and are only sending a small amount then you will probably be fine. A half is very risky though, and if you touch the side of your package with "weedy hands" after packing it all up then that will be discovered by the sniffer dogs (if they're being used that day) and you'll be stuffed. Conversely, if you don't package it properly then the x-rays will see it and the operator will understand that they're looking at a banned substance.

Is a 1/2 worth jail time or a fine if you get busted? I'd have him save and cure it for me until I can get up there, then get high in Alaska. God I love Alaska. I'd say it's a risky endeavor with any amount, let alone a 1/2. Good luck!

EEK! Yeah, I've been thinking about telling him to hold out. Even though I won't be able to visit the beauty of AK until next xmas. That and he is probation for the next 5 years... I heard that if it's not alot, oz or less, that it's not too risky. I'll think on it, probably will tell him not to. I don't want him to stick his neck out for me esp when he has 5 years prob and can't even enjoy the smoke himself. Great screen name btw lol!

1.2 gs? That's small for sure lol. I mean 1/2 oz, not lb (just to clarify) maybe even just an 1/8 as those go for 50$ in AK. I live in the U.S., yet I suspect since AK isn't continental it might go through more procedures or what not to get here. Thanks for the tip guy, although thinking about it more I may just tell him to hold off.
i dont think multiple smells keep a dog from smelling the marijuana. dogs smell differently than humans, check out Dont Get Busted. its a great dvd made by an ex k9 officer you can find it on youtube. one easy and safe way for him to send it to you is baked in brownies or cookies maybe special Christmas cookies.

IF I were to attempt this, I think I might mail it to the right address, but wrong name. Plausible deniability for the receiver. No return addy or name. Wear gloves while packaging. Plausible deniability from sender. Don't know how easy it is to get to another postal zone in AK, but I would do that as well when I sent it.

Haha nice! Maybe I'll find a recipe on here for him, if he is ambituos enough lol. I heard of that vid, I want to watch it but I have to wait until I can upgrade from forsaken dialup. Great advice

I don't know about the first one, my mail sometimes gets mixed up with the neighbors (who happen to be inlaws). What do you mean by postal zone, zip code? As in he would fabricate a zipcode from where it was sent?
What would be best to use, fed ex, ups or usps?

Just a different location, even if in the same ZIP. The mail mix-up sucks, but, better than getting popped. Although it might make for an interesting Thanksgiving!

Oh snap! 93%?? Yeah, I'm uneasy about that! Do you think Irieie had a good idea when they suggested mailing it baked into brownies or something? If not, than I have made up my mind and I'll tell him not to send. I'd feel really bad if he (or I for that matter) got pinched for sending me budz when he hasn't even been out of jail for a year. I really appreciate all of your advice!

you can't mask the smell of marijuana
i've gone past sniffer dogs with a bit of weed on me before.
using gloves, and some help i put the weed inside one of those containers that you get 25 cent toys in at the store. i close the cap on it.
wipe the ouside with several different cleaning products, still wearing gloves.
i put that inside of a new condom, tie it up. put that inside another condom, tie it up, put that inside another condom. i did it with like 6 condoms...... washing my hands like 10000 times, washing the outside of every condom each time with bleach n shit.......
latex condoms have a low micron rating, so odors take a while to permiate out. you have to wash your hands every so often, you have to be careful to not have the weed touch your hands.... it's a pain in the ass, but its doable.

A smell that can't be missed! lol I was hoping mailing pot brownies would be a good way to cover up the smell, but even if it did or not it takes a looong time for mail to go from AK to where I'm at. I'd be worried that they would mold on the way
