Getting CAught!!

Hello, I was wonder how safe it actually is to grow? I mean What are the chances of getting caught in the US? Not a big operation, just a plant or two for personal use? Thanks

if your on pro or parole,if the cops are always getting calls or if you tell someone....other then that how would they know?right?you could probly do a small grow forever and never get popped,what reason or how would they know about it....

something to remember is even if you use say a 400watt light, it's still less wattage then most ACs heating units etc. So how would anyone know, loose lips sink ships.

you know the risk going into this,an if you dont you should look up the laws in your state!if every person was scared of getting busted there would be no weed,ouch,that hurt just thinking of what it would be like without weed....there are a hundred ways to get popped and there's just as many to not,

the only other thing i read about when people get caught is IMPROPER odor control. Especially if your in an apartment or townhouse. Local guy got busted here in CO not too long ago for reaking up the neighborhood - he had a permit to grow, but federal agents got involved - i think he was let go. Feds have bigger fish to fry

Well they mount it on a plane and fly over homes and they check for heat signatures coming from the house. I.E. Garage or shed booming with heat. They then use that information to obtain a warrant. The courts have ruled it as not an invasion of privacy.

How much light/heat does it take to raise a red flag though?

unless your house is a glowing sun in the middle of the night.....heat signatures by themselfs are not enough for a search warrant - remember...hydroponics is legal!!! anf alot of people do it..especially in the winter moths.... but to minimize heat signatures...keep lamps and grow rooms in the center of the home or basement....keep it away from outside walls... remember - IR cannot see thru walls. and careful how you vent.... the best way to vent is to go into sewage lines...but that is not practical.. vent into a chimney or center of an attic.
