Getting a Card After April

Put it off till April 1st or later. That will save you the price of re-certification next year and the $25 that you send to the state.

i have tomorrow marked as the day i SHOULD get my card!! what do i do if i do not?
It's based on expiration date, not when you renew. If your card expires before April 1'st, you will only get 1 year on your renewal. If it expires after April 1'st, your renewal will be good for 2 years.

I thought there was some other change, making it harder to get a card, etc. I guess not!

Thanks a lot for the replies.

You are correct. Whatever laws were changed a few months ago, they all go into effect April 1st.
It's a lot of bullshit IMO. Cards being valid for 2 years is main deal.
Fuckers don't know the laws themselves, as far as I'm concerned.

Looks like you can apply with just your voter registration card for the ID part. I picked up my rec Tuesday I'll be in the post office on April fools sending out my app certified return receipt.

Apparently the state changed the forms just before the deadline. The word I am getting now is that unless it is on the new form and dated after April 1st (the application itself) you wont get a two year card.

The new for is 6 pages long, covers new and renewals, the caregiver attestation, everything. Patients and physicians will have to initial multiple questions to confirm compliance with and understanding of various points of the act. The forms are up and on the state website.

They arent doing any better with the pot laws than they have with the gun laws.

At least they got rid of the law against dueling a couple years ago, that should keep guns out of criminals hands.:wall::rolleyes:
