Random inquiry, I have some beautiful males that are still in veg under 24 hours light but they are showing sec already, just checked today and one of my sea levels dropped pollen from s few sacs. My buddy told me he never uses the first male to pop as it may not be stable. It is a beautiful stud so I don't wanna cull it. Any thoughts?
How many sea level are you growing?yes I agree with him in most cases, but easier to pick when you have a bunch.you could hit the latest showing girl if the structure and smell you really like.also if difference in showing males is a couple days, not bad,a week or more different story

I just have the two sea levels going both male, the one that's dropped some pollen seems almost on the autoflowerinh side it's only 5 or so weeks from seed. The other smells better and has tighter nodes, I may just hit with both. It looks like both my maniak cracks are male too and the two getaway specials are my only females. I can't get the specials healthy either, they are yellowing like crazy, they look deficient no matter how much I feed them

Stick with the second male unless you want that super early one.

I wouldn't use both on one plant. All those seeds will grow up asking, "who's your Daddy?" Use the later one for breeding. Save the pollen from the early one for when you have more girls to work with, but go ahead and kill it soon.

I dont think anyone has had them tested but I could be wrong. In my humble opinion numbers dont mean fuck, cuse my french ;). testing is a way for companies to make money and charge money, plain and simple. I know there are plenty others who think its so great, but what did we do when we didnt have testing, we tested ourselves....I for one, will continue to go this route
Testing means fuck all to me, if I can give someone a nug of what I created and it helps them that's worth more to me than the %

Agreed it's a good idea to keep track of who the daddy is if you're trying to isolate a favorable trait or create some records for future reference.

If a person wanted to use 2 or even 3 males on one girl it's not too hard though. Using different colored bread ties, you could pollinate one female on separate branches and mark the resultant seeds indicating different males were used.

If doing that, it makes sense to clean the little pollen paint brush in between the pollen sessions. Give the pollinated girl some time before putting her back in front of a fan too, for obvious reasons.

For the pollen chucker who gives a shit how many males are used. Makes for an interesting workup. If you are truly trying to breed something and you have intentions of working it to sale down the line then of course it matters. @sandhill larry those plants dont give a shit if there were pollen from 50 males in the bag, its a biological process.

Before I knew about water killing pollen, I would use a bread bag to a pollinate single limb at a time on plants. I've done as many as three crosses on one plant, but did get a few stray seeds on other parts of the plant.

True the plants don't care, but I want to know. I got 3 seeds off my BP plant in '15 that I hadn't tried for. I had three males that year, two of which I used for breeding. Would be nice to know which one was the daddy, but it didn't stop me from popping one of the seeds last year.

True that, if you want to know 100% then go with one first, pollinate a branch or 2, tag them, then 2 weeks later do the same with other branches and other pollen, and tag them, have a water bottle handy....and no fans on :).

I just collected pollen from 3 male donors, slipped a ziplock over their heads, snapped off the tops, shook the shit out of them inside the bag and stripped all the leaves off and sealed rest up inside bag. When it dries a bit will take the stalks out. Of course there are no males left, but I got what I want from them.

At the rate I'm getting males, I will have to do that. Not as many girls as I would have wanted.

I dont think there will be @saucelike thats a new cross. Thats why its a freebie, to gather info, or would be one reason anyway
