no deer around here way to many coyotes for them to live haha and the wind here is almost daily living on an island we get it alot so if ya dont do something for supporting the branches you wont have any branches after a 50 knot wind and rain storm ive seen alot of buddys plants just the stock left after a good rain /wind storm if im growing them im damm sure going to protect them any way i have to until harvest "you take care of your plants- your plants take care of you $$$ "
