Germing Delay

hey guys

im trying to germ like 15 seeds.and today is the 4th day of germing and only 1 seeds has its root coming out.


the temp is like in the 50s in the moring.

so i understand its cold.

i put em on a heater and im checking the temp frequently to make sure its not to hot.

has anyone had a delay in germing?did they sprout eventually?
 
I just read that if you put the seeds in a fine sand paper lined matchbox, before germing, and shake it up a bit, it will help water get to the seeds, since some seeds have harder shells and water may not penetrate as easily
 
Yeah be patient some are late timers that will suprises you in about a week- week and a half with a big ol tap root, and some will shoot right out right away so dont give em up, give em all time
 
worth a shot.. it would definatly explain why some of my seeds have not germed.. i germed a full batch of nirvana master kush seeds with no issue, then I had some flying dutchmen seeds, same temp same enviornment, and they nerver germed, i bet it is because water never penetrated, because temps were fine.. i winded up getting 3 out of 10 to germ, if i read this back then i mighta been able to save em
 
I always get fresh seeds that always pop between 24 and 48 hours. Storing seeds correctly is key to their germination.

also 10 of the 15 seeds are bag seeds from 20+ year old weed... LOL im hoping for a original columbian gold so i can self it for seeds :)

Cool hope you get what your looking for, but how will be sure that they are what you hope for.
 
well i already got 1 in a rapid rooter! :)

so be amazed LOL..im not joking tho i had 1 seed come out with the tap root and its from the 20+ seeds. i found them in a sealed cannister in my old tool box. hell ya!
 
For reall? damn man, i found my dads stash of seeds a couple months ago, i was phyched cause i was looking for seeds at the time, i found all these different containers off different shape and colored seeds, all goodies, but yeah i couldnt get any of the fuckers to germinate, and they were to my knowledge, a little over 20 years, so did you have a method for stashing those?

i hope its somthing good.

im trying to germ 35 seeds...only 2 germed total out of all my seeds.

who thinks i should just put em all into rapid rooters and hope they germ?


who thinks i should just wait it out?


let me know what i should do...ive never had problems in the past this is my first time with this issue
