Place the seeds on a moist paper towel, cover them with another mosit paper towel, place them on a plate, cover that with a plate of the same size and put it in a cupboard. Check it daily, keep the towel moist but not wet. You should see the seeds sprout in about 2 to 5 days. :peace:

For germination, all I did was wrap my seeds in a moist paper towel. By moist I mean the paper towel is wet to the touch but not soaked. Put the paper towel in a baggy or something and put that under your sink (or any other dark place for that matter).
after about 24-48 hours you should see a white root popping out. When you plant it in the soil, put the root DOWNWARD into the soil.
I immediately put my newly planted seeds under light, and I never had problems with the plants being in completely different cycles. They were all within the same place as far as growth goes throughout the entire beginning process.

I'm not sure of the advantages/disadvantages of just putting your seeds in water - but I know that if you have really hard seeds, it's harder for them to break open with less moisture.

Gotta try this "germination" everyone speaks off, I just do things oldschool.
Stick seed into soil, wait and "poof" it grows!

i assume just putting the seed in the soil is remarkably close to just putting a seed in a wet paper towel - as long as the soil is wet. The hubbub with germinating would be eliminating any "slackers" before you plant them.
Sometimes a seed won't germinate, but you won't have to waste your time/soil/light on that SLACKER and just add it to your trash bin.

Seeds like warmth. Sticking them in soil will not promote
quick growth like using a heat-pad would. I use the paper
towel method, and place it my heat-pad. You could also
use a monitor, or anything else warm...Check them frequently,
they will dry out quicker.

Yes, I tried it once and had very bad results. They tend
to attract to one another, and end up producing some kind
of film around the seeds, and I only got 2 out of 8 to crack.

By submerging them in water you chance the risk of your seeds rotting, as too much moisture.
