germination

so guys i have 20 seeds 12 diff strains. all 19 popped perfect and 1 stubborn 1 that i really want will not germinate, typical its the most expensive 1 aswell (tiramisu from cali connection) i germ in water and even tried the paper towel nothing is working. any ideas?

Maybe just been stubborn...when I germinate mine I soak in water 24 hours let them drop down get a paper towel moist and leave in there for 24 hours in a dark room.

yeh iv tried all that :/ very annoying i really want this 1 to pop. might have to try the sand paper trick ffs

i have heard that from many people but i thought id give 1 seed ago as it sounds very tastey but guess it aint ment to be

One option; Very very carefully take the seed in between your pointer finger and thumb and manipulate it in a way where if you apple pressure the seam where the seed will naturally begin to open at you can forcefully (but gently and kindly and not crazylike) open it with a tiny tiny amount of pressure. You feel a 'snap' and that's it, don't open further, back into medium/paper towel etc. Good luck, sometimes works sometimes not.

Just to give some idea of a picture of what this looks like, for me, the pointiest end of the seed will be exposed at the end of my finger and thumb, when i feel that 'snap' I can see that point having opened while pressure still applied, without pressure sometimes it closes back up but you know it cracked and the little gal can begin life.

How long ago did you start these seeds? If 19 out of 20 already sprouted I'd say you have a dud. Make it easy. Pop it in some soil and give it another week. If it doesn't pop then it's time to move on.
