hey guys...got a question...i recently finished my first ever grow (indoor, soil, cfl) with fair results...on that grow i had no problems at all getting seed to germinate...i started with 10 and all of them germinated...this time around i started 16 and got nothing...one my first attempt soaked the seeds for just about 4 hours and put them straight in jiffy pucks...this time i soaked for about 20 hours and the seeds sank to the bottom...i then put them straight into jiffy pucks...both times i put them under a 4 light cfl fixture i made...i have kept them plenty moist...what could the problem be...am i doin something wrong...they are in the jiffy puck hood so i know it stays way humid in there...about how long does it take for a seed to germ and pop up...i honeslty cant remember from my last grow...im just frustrated sorry for rambling...but any insight is much appreciated...thanks..

Well you can soak them I had 4 out of 6 ger when I used that method now I just stick them straight in the pot it'll be growing in I fill the pot about 1/3 with soil and place the seed in about 1/4in takes about 4-10 days in my experience I wait until its first set of true leaves are showing then move them to veg 100% germinated doing it this way haven't lost any yet where as I usually do if I use jiffy pellets first gl

Sometime it take longer. I don't soak my seeds, but I do soak my rockwool for several hours in PH 6.0-6.5 distilled water. I grow aero-hydro, this grow it took 1 Red Dragon strain 17 days to pop.
thanks for all the replies guys...i still have a little hope for what i have goin to germ but not much...im gonna go ahead and start some more this evening as i fear the ones i have now won't make it...but on a side note...i left a few seed just sittin in the jiffy box and one of them sprouted but i accidentally pinched it in half...grrrr...i think i am just tryin to damn hard..lol...
