Germination Stimulant Ga3

Has anyone tried Gibberellic Acid to improve your germination rates or for seeds that will not germ? Seedman's Gibberellic Acid-3 (GA-3) Kits. I ordered some to try with a germination pack Seed Germination Tips and Techniques - Seed Germination Products.. The "good seeds" that i ordered from Holland and BC have had really poor germ rates and slow growth. All of the regular Mexican Sativa brick weed seeds that are fresh from the bag have had a 80-90% germ rate. I am using the same germ method for all of the seeds. I soak them in a cup of distilled water which is in my propagation tray with a seed heating mat under it for 24-48 hrs or until they crack. Then i put them in a damp rag and i put the rag in a plastic bag . I leave the rag in my tray with the dome on top and it is left in a dark closet. When the small root shows i plant them in 1" rock wool cubes or rapid rooters and leave in the tray until they sprout. Some of them i put directly into my Aerogarden Deluxe to finish germing from there. I use the AG deluxe for seedlings, vegging clones, mothers and then i transfer them to a ebb and flow tray under 400 HPS. At least that is the plan if i can get more than just one big bud to do well which has its second set of leaves. All of my fresh seeds are still in the germ stage. All of the brick weed seeds have roots that really have grown fast and all of the "good seeds" have had slow root growth or none at all. I am hoping that the G3A mixed with some Liquid Carma will increase my germ rates and help my seedlings to start rapid growth. Has anyone tried this and did it work for you? Am i doing something wrong when germinating my seeds? Does anyone have any advise???

Have you had any issues with germing seeds from Holland or BC ? The problem i am having is that they will crack and show root and then not develop any further or they will not crack at all.
Wow wierd man no I havent had any issues like that.. What works best for me is using a heating pad underneath them for about 3 weeks even after they germinate..

Yeah, i am using a hydrofarm seed heating mat under my tray and i have everything sitting in the tray with the humidity dome on it and everything is in a dark closet. All of the regular bag seeds i have tried has had a 90% germ rate. And all of the high dollar seeds from the seed banks have had very poor results. Should i put them in the frig before i start to germ them? Would this help??

Wow eh your not lucky... Dont place in fridge unless you plan on storing them.. I will usually give them a brop or 2 of B1 within the water for the seedlings.. Are you possibly over watering the seeds?? do they look water logged??

I was told that seeds from Holland and BC are adapted to a cold climate and what we are trying to do with indoor growing is to simulate mother nature. I had read on one of the seed bank sites that it is good to store the seeds in the fridge and i have heard of giving seeds that are hard to germinate a cold treatment. I guess it would make sense to chill the seeds and then put them in a warm environment to simulate spring time conditions.

Well if it's an indoor strain the weather should all be about the same.. But true to the fact that the cold/warm can stimulate it... Good info and I will keep that in my knowledge base for future issues.. :D
