Hey guys im new to the site but not new to growing, ive grown for a number of years and never had any problems with germination, although fior my grow this year i decided to try some Hollands Hope as it is more suited to my climate and i always have an issue with mould. so i purchased 10 from attitude and they kindly sent me 5 free thai super skunk too. I germinate in a small bottle of water in a warm dark draw, usually takes 2-3 days for the tap root to appear, then i pot, always had a 100% germ rate. This time none of the hollands hope have germed but all of the Thai super skunk have, they were in the water for 6 days and then i put them in pots even though they didnt crack.

Are they dead? should i give up hope or hang on and see if they work?

Any information on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thankl folks

Give them a little longer, they should have germanated by now but some time's they can take a little longer.that is why i always use the clam method cotton wool or papper towel sprayed with superthrive and water ph'ed at 5.0/5.5 and a small saucer on the bottom with papper towel on and one on top same size then put in a bag and normaly within 24 hours the seeds will have cracked.

u should use the paper towel, moistened & kept in an air tight plastic bag.. placed sumwhere dark thats about room temperature.. attitude im pretty sure on their website say thats how they reccomend the customer germinates. i use to use the same method as you, the water bottle but i never had much success with it! i switched to the paper towel/plastic bag method and since have experienced no problems with germination!

Cheers for the help guys, like you said il leave them in for a little longer to see if they do make the surface. i also think il change my method of germing as mine seems to be dated=]

does anyone know if leving them in wated for too long can kill the seed?
