So I'm still lost at this been in a paper towel for a few days popped open just fine but then stopped and it looks like this what the heck should I do? It looks healthy but refuses to grow a dang root is there anything I can do to make it grow?

Don't fuck with it. It's probably too wet, too hot or too cold. It needs to be damp but not too wet.

At this stage plant it in your medium. Keep it warm (around 22-23C) and not too wet. If viable it'll grow.

I usually put it in a Tupperware bowl in some damp cheesecloth or paper towel. To get it at the right dampness I soak the cheesecloth or paper towel then I just shake all the excess water off and squeeze a little more out then when I put the cheesecloth or paper towel in the Tupperware, I pour any excess water out and pur the lid on and wrap it in a towel and put it in a dark place. Every 24 hours I check it. When it gets a little dry I spray the cheesecloth or paper towel with a spray bottle and pour any excess water out. PS I know this wasn't the question but I figured maybe next time you can use a better germination method

Well usually I just put them in warm water till they crack a little then a paper towel and baggy it worked just fine before
That's more or less what I do too. I put them in water until they sink (it is possible to drown them if left too long), then it's into the damp paper towel in a baggie until I see them crack and the tap pokes out. After that I was going into a solo cup, but I kept getting the moisture wrong so I went back to simple jiffy pellets, very hard to get them wrong ;) . I would go ahead and start yours, the tap wants to hunt for water at this point IMO.

Yeah I decided to put it back in some water and in a warmer place and it's getting bigger but still no freaking root development lmao I'm totally lost with this if it was done growing don't think it would be getting bigger imma keep it regardless and see if anything changes further hopefully it will surprise me by getting big then exploding with a tap root or something

Why would you put it back in water?! The tap root starts to grow out in search of water. If you have it too damp (like in a glass of water) it'll just stop.

The purpose of putting it in water is to soak it and get it to swell/crack. Once it's cracked it needs to be somewhere it can grow. Plant it in it's medium and stop fucking with it. The more screwing around you do the more likely you are to kill it.

The taproot will grow if it's in water it will grow regardless in water or in paper towel and I've got a feeling of I put it in dirt Now that will cause it to stop growing
