Germination Fail

5 Fem Nirvana Blackberrys arrived last Thursday. Soaked them over night and all 5 cracked. Then left them in the plate with the soaked paper towels over a heating pad and went to work. First day things went well and had 4 good tap roots. Second day got home the paper towels were dry as a bone The air is very dry where I live. Soaked wetted the paper towels for two days and they are in cups of dirt now under a humidity dome.

I'm atheist but if you are Christian, say a prayer for my baby Blackberrys, or hang a Buddhist prayer flag or something because they may still pull through. So, word of warning to my fellow newbs, the paper towel method works pretty good but if you let it go dry you will bum.

On the brighter side my 22 day old AK48 non-fems are looking good and moved from the flouro nursery to the veg tent, a Homebox with a 400 watt MH.

just water them or throw them straight into soil. put dome over em. they might live. ill pray for ur babies =P but liek i said if you have such a great lost which is less likely to happen. those ak48 look promising.

I just got 5 feminized AK48 and 10 NYPD's from Nirvana... Hope you bring them back...

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Three of the babies have survived. Lord willing and the creek don't rise and the pigs don't come a knockin' I'll have some Nirvana Blackberry bud porn and a smoke report about February.

I'm updating this pointless thread with some pictures I took today of the Nirvana Blackberrys that made it. Four survived and they are amazingly healthy and bushy three weeks into flower.



The jungle you see is only four plants. They responded well to super cropping and each plant has multiple colas with buds everywhere! They are growing in Fox Farms Happy Frog. In veg they got Botanicare Pro Grow. In flower I switched them to Fox Farms Big Blooms, Tiger Bloom and Open Sesame with Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching as they get farther into flower. They also get Microbe Brew, Kangaroots, Cal Mag, Liquid Karma, Rhino Skin and Super Thrive. They soak up everything I feed them with zero sign of over feeding.

I'll be back with more bud Pr0n in January and a harvest report and a smoke report after that.

If you haven't ordered it already, Ed Rosenthal's Big Book of Buds 4 is out and Nirvana Blackberrys got included. My experience so far is they are very vigorous genetics. Can't wait to see how they smoke
