Germinating problems, bad seeds?

Hey everyone, using the wet paper towels in between two plates on a warm surface germination method, same one ive used for 9+ grows now, never any problems.

ITs been 8 days, yes 8 days and only 1 out of the 7 seeds has cracked, the tap root is barely even measurable. Bunk seeds?

Sounds like bad seeds. Either old or exposed to too much heat at some point.

At one point the seeds were exposed to 85+ degrees of heat while in the germinating process. Bought the seeds from attitude seed bank, used a different breeder, prolly fucked me in the end now though

ive heard of people taking a little sandpaper to a seed bevore germinating it to allow for easier water penetration, but after 8 days, water isnt an issue, i dont think.
