Germinating In AG

i just germinated one in the ag and one via the paper towel method. They both sprouted and have nice tap roots after 48 hrs. My first 2 seeds i planted, i germd with the paper towel and then put in the ag but they didnt last long. Hopefully better luck this time.

ya my one was tipping over so i tried to fix it broke off and now i have another one about to remove the dome but its tilting to the side no roots visible thru sponges

why would you cut seeds in half? no reason you cant germ them in the aerogarden but use the humidity domes, though the paper towel way makes it easier to set the seed into your basket root facing down which helps things get off to a good start. you shouldnt need nutes to germinate either. youll have to do some research based on your setup and the nutes your using for when to start feeding them and at what strength

you can germ in an ag i do it every gro!! with perfect success!!! just have to help the ladies out of there shell when it comes time!!!! go check out my grown journal!!!!link is under the name!!

what temp do u have in ur room durin germ mines around 79F and 24% humidiy i got like 4 pots of water never helps the humidity

i havnt messed with or even known my humidity. I just place the seeds in a paper towel in a zip lock bag. throw them in something like a winter hat on top of the ag to protect em and keep it dark. the ag hood keeps it nice and warm . Or do what he said and just put the seeds straight into the pods.

no i did all taht i did that two plates wrapped in plastic wrap and tinfoil and bag n they germ in about one day 2 tops they all sprouted so i thru them in the garden now im on day 3 or 4 n those were my temps wonderin if that would b ok

your worrying to much about temps while germing, honestly just keep them in a warm room in paper towels or put them in your ag. now with my ag ,since i start eveerything in it. once they have popped there shell i put in some foam that i have ripped off of the medium...place it over the roots when placing the lil lady into the back into ag!
