Hey this is my first try with autos and im germinating my seeds in water with 100% darkness, I started them 2 days ago and almost have had little to no activity meaning the tap roots are showing just not advancing at all yet. i know seeds can take up to 2 weeks to grow... but they did crack quite quickly within 12 hours, but after they cracked and tap root is shown they have not grown anymore, any ideas??? im using a germinating heat mat for heat also and i put a towel under it to get better heat could i have gotten it to warm? and does it matter if seeds sink in the water?

usually seeds sinking is a good sign!! u could have it too hot you want around mid 20's 1-day-2-weeks for germ 2-3days for them to see the light also too much soil on top is bad then boom

planting straight into what they will be finishing in is the go with autos so to reduce any checks in growing.
Potting up Autos can disturb the roots and reduces yield

um go a party-cup or foam cup first... supposedely they like to fill what they got before transplanting.. dont let them root-bound or it could stunt!! im using atm a new mix of composted cow shit perlite and cocopeat.. its going really well atm too never had a plant grow soo quick!! im using 24/0 to keep temps up too... its very important i spent the last 3 months learning this!! keep em warm and they will grow fast!!

yeah the seeds I had that only grew a tiny tap root did not grow anymore after I put them into soil. could my seedling mat bring the temp up too much? my grow room is 27C and the seedling mat is a bit warm

use a thermometer in/on your heat mat germing space, too hot is no good, if the room is 27 id be happy
they dont need that much care, they kinda just pop up like most seeds
