I am one of many who is converting to AirPots, and I'd like to get some feedback from people who currently use them.

-any experiences with GeoHumus and it's benefits?
-what size pots do you use?

I plan on using 3/4 cup of GeoHumus mixed with Paramount soil in a 3.4 gallon AirPot.

I've seen someone on this site do a side-by-side grow with air pots Vs. normal pots. The air pots to seem to have done much better from what i remember.

Just going into my 2nd grow.
Used Airpots for 1st grow....Roots Organic coco soiless. very steep learning curve. Great results though!
Used the smaller coke can size, then transplanted to a 2.5 gallon. The biggest problem was how quickly they would dry out. Not the smaller one so much, but during flower, I had to water daily.
I used Roots Organic and never thought of the Geo-humus stuff. I know I will definately go for a more dense soiless mix next time...not sure what yet.
I was most unhappy with the watering frequency...(it was really a problem), I think I will definately look into that option this time.
I am days away from transplanting up from party cups to 1 gal, and need to decide quick!

Yep, i use airpots, DIY, and rootbuilder variations. I am on a micro scale and using 16-12oz containers. I water daily, or every other day. However, i was using a mostly coco mix and then next round i added more soil and fired clay pieces, this helped retention. Also, i was going to use those silicate water crystals, but, those are rreall bad news. They break down into a toxin. There are the starch based ones which break down in about a year or so, i used them for a run, but, they do break down and don't want to have to constantly replace them. This did extent the watering time however.

Geohumus, i looked into the stuff and it seems to be really cool, but, never got around to trying it out. Smokebros is you ever try a run, check back with results. Based on research though, Geohumus looks like a perfect match for airpots.

---edit--
air pots. forgot. Yeah, love them, in whatever form. Even in the small containers i get beautiful roots. These perfect little cylinders of soil and roots. I notice no rootbound areas, just perfectly distributed roots throughout the entire soil area. its amazing. On that, they do a great job of root restriction, just as soon as you get all the variables figured out.

and a note on Geohumus. In the various information i ran across, they mentioned cations being increased via geohumus. Cations are positively charged, therefore they increase PH. Make sure you keep that in mind.
