genetics question related to seeds (pics)

I planted approx 7 seeds from a bag of mid-grade pot. All 8 seeds came from the same bag. 3 of the plants turned out to be male. The 4 left over have all been in flowering for about 42 days now and none of them look anything like the others.

What I want to know is that even though the seeds were all from the same bag the plants all still end up with different traits. Like human kids I suppose. Same parents but just different combination of traits? If so, how is there any consistency in the seed banks?

The reason I'm curious is because of 3 of my 4 plants in particular. One is tall, lanky with the buds waaay spaced out. The second one is short with fat stubby colas. The third one was slower growing than the rest but is just compact and looks like the plant will end up being one fat bud. (Pictures below)

Here is the three girls in question:

I'm growing some "Ice" seeds right now along with some seeds that came from some really excellent herb. I'm very excited to see what they come out looking like.

Impressive plants my man. Whatever they are it should be some good smoke when youre finished.
It looks like your plants are in different size pots. Have they been in different sized pots the entire grow? The reason I ask is because a plant will grow only as tall as the pot is big. The bigger the pot... the bigger the plant. That could be the reason for the different size plants.
Also, sometimes I have one or two really big plants, and one or two smaller plants. I dont know why.... it just happens.
Good luck man, hope it helps...

Bagseed is bagseed. It hasn't been bred for any specific traits, and there's no guarantee that all the seeds even came from the same plant.

Seeds from seedbanks are bred and groomed to have certain traits and specific genetics. If you get them from a decent seedbank, they should all be fairly similar.
