My next grow will consist of 4 single deep water culture 5 gallon buckets. 2 general hydroponics air pumps with 4 outlets each, which allows me to have 2 oxygen stones per 5 gallon bucket. Flora trio. Micro grow and bloom. RO water and calimagic. Floralicious plus in veg and bloom for aroma and flavor, liquid koolbloom in flower to bulk buds up. Thinking about getting some organic blackstrap molasses to add in flower this run also if that works in dwc? But my question here is what feed cycle do you recommend? I have two different charts. One in ml and one in tsp. Which one should I use? I was recommended the teaspoon one from someone on this site. But it doesn't show my additives so should I use the other chart with the additives? ML chart or TSP chart? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I follow the directions on the bottle at half strength, and up it throughout the grow to close to their recommended dosage some of the time. All plants are different.

Quarter strength for clones or seedlings or early veg right?

I use exactly what they recommend for each stage of growth at half strength. So where they recommend 1/4 tsp of each for seedling, i am using half of that, and so on throughout the grow

Top chart in green. Use it. Don't use molasses in DWC.
It works. Personal experience.

Always add Cali magic FIRST. Stir.
Then Micro.Stir.
Then Gro Stir.
Finally Bloom. Stir.

If you were to want to make a batch for say, a 20 gal reservoir, you can add all the nutes for 4-5 gallon containers needed, Into a single 5 gal and add it to the rest of the water if that's ever needed.
But where you're doing single site buckets and not recirculating, I'd just mix each bucket separately.

BTW... 5ml is 1 Tsp...

so the cali magic just goes in with nutrient changes? I wasnt sure if id have to treat top of water with it or if I top off with just clean RO water or should I have hydroguard in it at least? Wanting to keep a barrel and a float valve to just keep my outside res full.

using these for at least the first grow, seemed like an easy enough place to start.
Armor SI
CaliMagic
Diamond Nectar
Trio
HydroGuard

should go in that order i believe? and all of it except the hydroguard at half str?
Should I pick up some koolbloom too?

Sorry to kinda thread jack, but I was about to ask about some of the same stuff.

I always use calimagic when topping off, same with hydroguard. That's it if topping off to lower ppm because ppm is rising. If it's neutral ppm meaning it's staying the same every day I mix more nutes to the ppm range the plants like. Say if your plant is staying at 500ppm and not rising or dropping, mix a batch for that bucket to 500ppm and feed if you need to top off. Always log your ppm and ph and water temps daily to see of they're drifting and adjust accordingly to what your plant tells you too. If ppm is rising drop the ppm down because it's drinking more water than nutrients. If ppm is lowering there's not enough nutrients that means . If ppm stays the same everything is balanced and you should leave it unless topping off with the same amount of ppm. Or if you choose to measure in ec you can do that too. And liquid koolbloom helps bulk up your buds in flower but be careful cuz too much and can burn your plants quick. I need to get myself some armor si myself, I don't have that but could use it to help stems.

Also I use hydroguard full strength always. 2 ml per gallon of water only if using ro. Tap water will kill the good stuff in hydroguard. I didn't use hydroguard my first grow and had to battle root rot for like 2 weeks. Stunted my growth and made my cycle longer. You definitely don't want that. Keep water temps always under 72 but if using hydroguard shud be safe with warmer temps but I still try not to risk it as its a bitch battling root rot. And you definitely don't want slime either. Why that dude above told me not to use molasses in dwc. That's for soil only I learned today. I choose to use hydroguard verses the whole sterile method of adding sodium hypoclorite or h202. I have a buddy who does sterile but I don't.

I don't have a chiller as I'm using single bucket system. I need to make it rdwc with a res so I only have to change one bucket verses four at a time. Then I could get a chiller. But single buckets just don't work. My cold Upper Michigan basement floor keep my bucket temps in check without a chiller luckily but in flower I have to use dehumidifiers to keep humidity in check in summer. Winter humidity is low in my basement so I need to use a humidifier to add humidity when flowering

You top off with more of the same thing man. Just like the chart tells you to mix it. If your res or bucket could use 2 to say 20 gallons to fill it back up, mix that much up and add it. Nothing is left out or lessened.
