gel vs. powder

anyone use the Advanced Nutrients Cloning Gel?

i ask couse my clones keep dieing and ive changed everything exept the rooting hormone, which im about to do!

I am in the same boat as you are, I just had a 0% success rate on my last batch of 8 clones with Advanced Nutrients Gel, now i am on my second try.

Take a look at my journal, you can see pics, my second ones are 3-4 days old and looking "descent."

Iv rooted clones without gel, so I really dont think that is the problem.

Most rooting hormones contain the same active ingredient ( indole-3-butyric acid), so I dont think it really matters if you use power or gel, or any other brand.

How are you guys cloneing? Tell me step by step every single thing you are doing, and ill try and help ya out =)

1. Clean razor blade with alcohol
2. Prepare 7.0 water solution from 24hr tap water
3. Select clones from bottom branches, i am forced to do this because of time limitations in my current situation i can not afford a mother plant.
4. cut, 45d angle, throw in water
5. Take out of water, trim all nodes except one set, scar the stem ever so slightly, trim fan leaves in half
6. Dip in advanced nutrients rooting gel
7. Stuck in moist rockwool cube
8. Put under dome, under 40w flouros, 6 in away
9. Sprayed with distilled water, 2-3 times a day

I use gel, not sure what kind........ I have 100% success rate, only ones that haven't survived are the ones I've pulled out.

i use clone-it and i dont have no problems

just cuz you change everything doesnt mean u changed it right

the square peg doesnt fit the round hole and it doesnt fit the triangle one either


gotta tell us what ur doin and what u tried alredy b4 we can figure out whats wrong

I don't use either,just a cup,water,and the window.
