Greetings and Salutations everyone! I've been a long time lurker on these forums, but never really felt it inclined to post a journal. I'm going to give it a shot, and see how it goes! Just starting a new crop, with the above strains as listed in the title. I have some more babies rooting/vegging right now, just waiting to finish out the other plants before I throw em into flower. Going for a perpetual harvest idea. Planning on rotating newer clones in every 2-3 weeks so I can consistently be harvesting some top shelf meds! I'll give a rundown of my setup, as well as genetics.

Please note- This is a legitimate medical marijuana garden in the state of California. My girlfriend and I have established our own collective, and are currently procuring medication for 6 patients.

Here's the skinny on the setup

Sunhut XXL 4x8 Grow Tent
2x Sun System 2 6" air cooled hoods
2x Lumatek 600 Watt digital ballasts
1 Oracle 6" 565 CFM inline fan
1 Can 100 Carbon Filter (yay for no smells!)
1 Sunblaze 48 4 foot 8 lamp t5 Fixture for Mother plants
4 foot t5 strip lights for clones.

While I prefer Coco, I am doing this run using Fox Farms ocean forest soil. Don't know why, I just wanted to try some dirt this go.

For Nutes I am using the following. P.H. Starts at 6.2, and I increase gradually, capping out around 7.1 towards finish. I have found this helps prevent magnesium deficiencies late in flower.
GH 3 Part, modified to Rez-Dawgs formula. Similar to Lucas. Only micro and bloom. 8 ml and 9 ml per gallon respectively
Sensi Cal- 5 ml per gallon
Fox Farms Solubles- Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, Cha Ching: 1/4 tsp per gallon, twice a week.
Bud Candy (AN)- 8 ml per gallon
Diamond Nectar- 5 ml per gallon
M.O.A.B as a finisher-1/4 tsp per gallon. Twice during final weeks.
Kushie Kush (only 6 ml per gallon)
Foliar Spray with Magic Green from House & Garden every 10 days
Roots Excel-1.1 ml per gallon
Voodoo Juice innoculation during veg. SUPER ROOTS!

The Strains I will be running are 100% guaranteed genetics from a -very- reputable clone only dispensary in the valley. Good lord I love california!

LA Confidential- OG Phenotype from DNA Genetics
Kush Berry- OG x Blueberry from DNA Genetics
X-18-Pure pakistani Kush from Reserva Privada
91 Chem Dawg-Apothecary Cut

Soon I will be adding these as well

U.K. cheese- The real deal, period dot com.
Deep Chunk x Strawberry Cough-Oaksterdam Cut (one of their only good ones)
Jack Herer
and Eventually Raskal's Superskunk (40-50 day finisher, green crack eat yer heart out) and Tahoe OG (original cut, not from Cali connect seeds).

Hope everyone enjoys the grow, didn't want to bore anyone with pics from Veg. I just put these ladies under the HPS tonight, while the larger plants are in week 5 of flower. Those are Deep chunks, Chem's and a few Jack Herer's. Pics below, I'll be updating as often as I can. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask!

Temperature in my area has been steadily climbing, decided to put in an LG window mount air conditioning unit. I was able to make a "channel" to channel the majority of the cool air directly into my tent. This should help with temperature (duh!) and it will greatly help regulate humidity. We do not like powdery mildew in these parts. Stay tuned, this grow is gonna go off! 48 more babies will go in as soon as the chem/jack/and deep chunk finish.

Cheers,
Geesh

Ill be stickin around to watch that x-18! never seen anyone grow it out yet....
Indeed, I've never seen it grown, nor have I even smoked it. I was told that it is a very hearty strain, that loves to grow insanely fast. I'm looking forward to it indeed!

Took clones all day long, two trays filled. My poor poor mother plants. Also picking up the Tahoe OG and Raskals Superskunk this weekend, so very excited.

Thought I'd show a lovely pic of zee frozen coil, packed and ready to shack. Gotta love Illadelph!

Nice Grow GEESH love your big ass filter
But years of using Fox farm and GH and getting over a lb just was not enough also I found that they saturate the nutients with PHOSPHORUS in flowering stage and that stuff taste NASTY.My Hydro supplier is really trying to push either DM gold base or Yellow bottle bloom and do a side by side.
Keep up the good work btw

I'm literally laughing out loud right now as I'm reading this. I went down to the hydro shop this morning, as I was running low on base nutes. Now, I'm a -HUGE- fan of my modified lucas formula, aka rezdawg's formula with GH.....However! I decided that since I'm running a new crop, that I'd try running my same formula with the AN three part....of course Micro and Bloom only. Label comparison, and the results I've had with my AN supplements, I decided to go AN! So we shall see how these new strains react, as 3 of them are my first run with them.

I'm still going to use my FF additives, but I don't pile that stuff on. Not to mention that I have seen excellent results from them in conjunction with M.O.A.B at the end. I -always- make sure to flush extremely thoroughly. I've never had a problem with harsh smoke, or chemical tastes. Just lemony diesel goodness! My deep chunks taste oh so sweet. Will be interesting to see the difference in bud mass during early weeks of flowering. I intend to keep this updated, so you'll be able to see as well!

And yes, I too love my massive filter. Any guests I have (which are only close family and patients) are amazed at the lack of odor. Harvest time is a bit different, but I have a 6" fan with a can 33 for my drying space in my old 4x2 tent, works splendidly.

I've heard mixed things about Dutch Master, but their foliar stuff is top notch. Luckily, I've not ran into many issues with PM in the past, but I hear Zone+Penetrator is fucking amazing. I however, am very happy with -Magic Green- from H&G. 2ml per gallon foliar fed with a little fulvic acid and 1 drop of organic dish soap is wonderful and I don't see the need to try the DM line of nutes yet. The yellow bottles, well I don't know anything about them other then the fact that their labels are very pretty! Also, I hate when I see errors in spelling on labels. "Benificial".....argh

Cheers,

Nothing new and exciting, and nothing really worth taking pictures of. The ladies are -loving- the HPS and their new photoperiod. No pistils yet, but they are shooting up like crazy. Hitting them with M.O.A.B. tonight to get the ball rolling faster! Temp with lights on today is 75.6 and 32% RH. It was around 85 today, so the AC is definitely doing it's job. Everything looks happy and healthy.

My other ladies are approaching the end of week 5, and are really starting to put on the mass/frost. I love Deep Chunk, she is literally covered in trich's. Makes such amazing hash! I was going to whip up a lovely batch of -Budder- today, using trim from Jack Herer, Deep Chunk, Purple Kush, and Chem Dawg; but I got sidetracked. Good lord knows once it's made, I won't be accomplishing a dam thing for the rest of the day(lol). Don't ask how I make it, I won't endorse butane extraction on a public site, as it can be very bad for you if done improperly. Youtube is your friend if you want to learn extraction with solvents. Done right, it's well.....you'll have to see~~~

Cheers,
Geesh.

P.S. Picked up some amazing meds today- Mace Windu(Master Kush x Hindu Kush) and Diablo OG. Sitting back, enjoying both out of the Sherlock. Watching an amazing sunset from my balcony.... ~~Loving Cali~~

Piiiics!

First is the Deep Chunk x Strawberry Cough. Week 6 almost, frosty as hell.
Second is 91' Chem Dawg, same time frame.
Third ones are the new ladies, been under 12/12 for 2 days, 3 nights now. Growth rate is rapid now that i've induced 12/12. Wish my grow setup allowed me to veg with 18/6 instead of 24/0, i'd get faster photo response....at least I have short node spacing though!
Fourth is my nutes, and more nutes behind the nutes, and more nutes below the nutes. Sigh!
Fifth are my lovely mother plants!

Enjoy!

Also- I wish I could provide better quality pictures, but the Iphone only does so so much. One day I'll be obsessed enough with bud porn to buy a digital SLR, but until then, this will have to do. The HPS also skews the color greatly, and makes it tough to get a good shot. This is why I shot the lower nugs, less light disturbance. Either way, hope you can still get a good look!

I am ridiculously medicated and tired of editing. I'd love to add; for the folks curious about the X-18: The growth rate is faster then any of my other strains that I am running. Extremely vigorous, thick, and very short internode spacing. I CAN'T WAIT to see what the flowers turn out like. And boy, the Kush berry!

How big is ur tent?? that is a tent right?? nice ladies though, oh and children too :D
Yes, it is a tent.

It's the Sunhut XXL 4x8x7. The actual dimensions are 112" x 57" x 84"(taken from a website, not doing math. It's actually larger than 4x8, it can accommodate an actual 4x8 hydro tray, and have a lil extra room.
