Gearheads

My favorite mustangs
I loved those cars but the live axle combined with poor weight transfer made them a handful. Based on all the Cars and Coffee videos of people wrecking their new ones doing a burnout it seems like it's still an issue even with the new rear setup.
My favorite Mustang is the '67 GTA Fastback. I just love the shape of those late 60s fastback cars. As far as newish cars, I have always really wanted a Buick Grand National but it's had to wait as the prices have gone nuts for them. I just want a decent body car so paint and body costs don't ruin me. I'd yank the engine first thing and send it to a buddy in TX that specialized in them back years ago. His ran 8's in the quarter and was technically street legal.

Yeah " crowd killers" they call them. I agree. They want to go where they want to go. Very poor traction. And hell yeah. I love gn's . Probably the fastest Gbody there was.

I graduated high school in the mid 90's. A friend of mine had a 90 25'th anniversary white mustang. Another had a late 80's 2 tone camaro, t-top with the lt1. No comparison between the two.
The mustang had terrible handling compared to the iroc-z

The problem with the Camaros back then was quality control. They would rattle you to death after a couple years. T tops leaked like a sieve and crappy back seats too small for adults. As far as handling, you're absolutely right. No comparison between them back then.

Yeah, I consider myself a Chevy guy even though I have a mustang. But yes, the 90s Camaros must have been the worst Camaros ever built.

The first 4 photos are from a 2015+ WRX, guy spun a rod bearing. Installed a new short block, oil pump, turbo, cam sprockets, etc.

Last photo is from an outback. Rod exited the block due to oil starvation. 20221206_211643.jpg20221206_191525_HDR.jpg20221202_192258.jpg20221130_195900.jpg20220415_100117.jpg

That's a lot... don't blow the motor
It's tuned very conservatively. I've been beating on this setup for at least 30k miles. It sees 8k rpm every drive :p

At 20psi how are you only making 311 whp
Stock small frame turbo is the reason why. I've got a larger turbo that'll do about 420whp at the same boost level. I'm hesitant to change it though, it's very responsive.
