I 2nd this statement.Where is good place to grab his gear?
Do you know why it was discontinued?Gdp/Ken's estate has discontinued Grand Daddy Purple, so of your interested in you sould grab a pack... As a collector myself I have to grab another pack of the legend...
I've heard he lost the original parent cuts, not sure if that's true.. It reminds me of some of the cookie/ cake strains Ive been growing in the past few years. GDP if done properly can still hold it own today next to fire strains that come out these days, I personally think its that good.Do you know why it was discontinued?
Ya nothing compares to the real deal grandaddy purp, all candyland crosses come from it, I even think some cookie genetics comes from gdp..I only have experience with Blimburn GDP (have one growing now) and have found it to be very nice....grapey and potent.
That was/is an awesome tasting cut.Dude I actually picked up 2 cuts of the cali clone only gdp last month. So this is crazy...they're in veg and I transplanted them last night, and no lie these girls stank like the legendary cali gdp I used to get in the mid 2000s. No bullshit. I haven't smelt the smell in a while but its so distinct. The nose on them is simply beautiful. Can't wait to flower them!
You got the holy trinity of purp in that list. Ya I'm excited about this cut. I should be able to get it to purp out nice this summer if I leave my minisplit on when the light go out. Maybe just once in a while for a few hours, cause that would up the electric bill. Heard you need a bit of cooler temps to get gdp to purp out a bit. Thing is- with proper gdp I always found it to have a very nice subtle lavender purp to it. Not like an overbearing purple you see on some buds today. You know the ones that make the buds look dark, almost black. Never really liked that. Always like the light, subtle purple color, especially the gdp. Man I loved that weed back in the day! Such a great chill high also. That was/is an awesome tasting cut.
When I was living in Cali back in 09 I did a nice run of several purple cuts. Purple Ak, purple urkel, gdp and purple kush. All were spot on with the urkel, p kush and GDP rocking those purp terps hard.
I know what you mean, I've always thought the darker the purple, the less terps to it and usually not as potent either.....I like that bright violet purple color...that gives more grape/purp flavor and potency in my experienceYou got the holy trinity of purp in that list. Haha nah you're good dude. Your shit looks nice by the way. I was just saying I thought gdp was always clone only. I could be wrong. So they discontinued a clone that came the "indians" cut, that can never be replicated? I knew I got duped.... I hope mine is even cannabis...
You made me spit out my drink laughing, I literally pictured steve martin reading your post in a complete sarcastic way.So they discontinued a clone that came the "indians" cut, that can never be replicated? I knew I got duped.... I hope mine is even cannabis...
