So I decided to go to town on the runt of the litter. To better explain the plant is (was) lush green and very compact. The biggest leaves were about 3 X 3", while most ranged from 1/2 an inch to 1 and 1/2 inches. So I topped a few nodes (maybe even fimmed a few because the nodules were so small.)
So it looks like hell now but hopefully this might help jump-start the plant. I am not holding my breath though.

You will notice my clones in the back with leaves as big as this plant that has been in Veg for about 75 days now.

So it's genetics. I took cuttings of the stunted plant early on and the 2 cuttings took. Although it took forever. I am seeing the exact same tiny dense leaves starting to show themselves, the exact same as the mother. I am going to entertain them outside of the tent. Maybe find a nice pot and have it as a house plant. :D

I have looked at other lights but it's a matter of $$ right now. I do leave both on all the time. I just turned off the veg for the picture because as you know they come out pink. Any suggestions for lights? You know, around the 150.00 $ mark? I am also in Canada so prices are somewhat higher than in the US.
BESTVA PRO 2000w

^^ Best light for the money, ebay, best price for that light. Stays cool, needs little more than a circular fan pointed at it if you're in closed quarters. Im in a double wide closet with no ventilation aside from the gaps around the doors and having no heat issues. I used the BESTVA 4000w blurple before upgrading and the difference is incredible...

Thanks! I will make the attempt to grab one for my next grow.

I also found it oh so hard to get any help on here about a good light. Everything I researched, was too big, ran too hot, wasn't strong enough, etc. I had to send a mars hydro light back to order this one and it was so good I got another one... keep that in mind also.

And - these have the mean-well drivers and samsung diodes like all the rave of 'good lights'...

In my experience, blurples can produce tight nodes and what appears to be stunted growth like the one you were asking about in the early posts. Keep her and flower her out and see what happens. Tighter nodes isn't a terrible feature in flower, especially after the stretch.

Be easy,

:peace:

same thing either way. people laughed at me for thinking i could find something decent for $180 and I did it. better than decent. saved my stunted blurple crop. so in retrospect i can conclude the people here that responded were either deliberately fooling me, on a high horse, or just not in the know.

I do think there are a lot of 'master growers' duking it out over who knows the most, especially on the subject of lighting. They roll their eyes at cheap Chinese equipment without ever knowing by using direct comparison. Then there's the people I think are legitimately crazy buying all of the components to put together their own home made lights to get around pennies in cost. And people are pushing them to do it. Thank god I didn't fall into that trap.

I will say there are some very different people on here with very different approaches to all sorts of things and I think the forum in general is helpful, but I take everything with a grain of salt.

And that's how i see it. I generally trust you get what you pay for but that sure wasn't the case with the BESTVA PRO 2000. Look at me - I'm practically advertising for them... but I will stand up for them building me a light that kicks ass that I can afford.

When I move to a bigger place I'll drop the money to up my game.. hope this is of some 'help'

I love cheap Chinese lights as well. They are my go to. A hlg65 costs more than my 240w chinese quantum boards here.

'89 Northern Lights & '90 Afghan, week five under two BESTVA PRO2000w. Fan mounted at top left, no other ventilation/cooling. I currently rent, so no holes in walls.
And here I thought I was crazy as I've got like three bottles and a tub of slow release stashed away in my grow room lol.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to patch a hole in the wall...I just keep the cut hole and glue it back in place. Whack some filler in and sand back. 10 min job.

How's the smell? I open my tent and it's like being smashed in the face with pepper, fuel and farts ATM, and that's with a 12.5x40cm filter in there. I can't imagine it without a filter.
