Gazzettes first indoor fun run

I have 8 weeks before my outdoor season starts so im going to try my luck at doing a little indoor grow where I can learn to LST FIM and supercrop all before an event starting on march the 11th where ill be gone to georgia for a weekend and I want to show off my dank shit to my friends of yesteryear.

Growing

1x northern lights
1x white widow
2x free nirvana seeds
*crosses fingers for at least one female*
All 4 have cracked

Set up

2.5'by2.5'by2' Area
Some kind of starting soil
all organic nutes ect.
white cardboard reflector stuff/pieces of paper
2 42watt 2700k CFL's 1 40watt 2700k cfl
cheap flood light things from walmart to reflect/hold the bulb.
brinks light timer
computer fan I ripped out of old pc
Coming to a grand total of like 60-70 dollars (still need to buy a fan somewhere)

Ill have pics up as soon as I finish with the setup in a day or so.

Got one pic up ill put reflective material up when they break ground (hopefully tomorrow). Got one more of those lights and with that cord I can slide them side to side and up/down pretty easily.

Ground breaking day all 4 went up on day 3 about an inch big but I killed the one in the bottom right just before the picture.

Using one 42watt 2700 and one 26 watt 5000 until they get around 5 inches.

EDIT: I know they dont look it because of the pic angle also I watered the top right and the soil kinda slid its way down and around that plant.

Cleaned grow area up considerably so it looks not all helter skelter fire/electrical hazard everywhere will post more pics afew days after true leaves are fully out.

Ta-da! all three looking fine unfortunately i didnt mark which plant is which so its one northern lights (which i think is the top one) White widow (pretty sure its the one on the right but i might have switched it over for some reason acouple days ago its true leaves are actually poking up in a high angle V like rabbit ears never seen that before its strange lol) and the last one is a nirvana mystery seed (its the one with one sprout leaf twice as big as the other)

8 weeks is not enough time to harvest and take with, but you'll have some nice pics for them. You need to use 6500K though, not the 2700k. Those are for flowering.

Gazzette, where did you buy thous lights? at a local hardware place or online?

I love how people find ingenious ways to put recycled materials to good use. For example, the reflective qualities of a Sysco box are hard to beat on a budget . . . Excellent! Here's hoping they're all girls!

Im considering vegging for afew extra weeks and just finishing them instead of harvesting early. I would hate to ruin a good thing by taking it out early that ive been working on for 2 months ill pick up a 40watt 6500k on my way back from practice sunday.

Got them at walmart its 7 dollars for the reflecting thing. Though im thinking about buying a dual socket and making a new reflector as I would like to use those two for my clones.

Lol yea, when they get bigger im lining the inside with postal boxes from my ebay days. Should look really good!

Dude, im just a noob but you should consider buying a HPS or MH, just look on craigslist for ur area and you should be able to find a ballast/bulb together for around 150, a ballast that will accept both MH and HPS is best and its what I have, for a small area a 400 watt is fine, but 600 wouldn't hurt, if you dont have ventilation HPS might be better I think it produces less heat. HPS is better for flowering, MH better for Veg, so if you can only get one get the HPS. I can go into more detail if you are interested or send you some links.

Im going to skip on the hps i only have 2 feet of growspace 4-6 inches for the pots and another 8 inches with a hps ( if i can mount it well) is still going to be to close to my plant and they will fry. This little spot is more of a clone nursery/learning lst and topping techniques than trying to get any sizable yield. (im happy with a half oz really lol). and dont worry I have alot more clfs that are going into this grow im thinking 8 by the end of it. I was just waiting for them to come up a little/get my ventalation and carbon scrubber in place.

Though I fully intend on getting a nice hps setup when I live in a place with alot less density of the neighbors.
