Gays?

So... do you expect that all of ancient Greece was genetically predisposed to being gay?
Did ALL of ancient Greece participate in homosexual activity? Or, was it just a portion of the population? Was it a similar ratio to what we see today in more socially liberal cultures? If so, that would sort of lead to the conclusion that a certain percentage of people tend to be born gay - and live that way when it's acceptable.

All. They drew no distinction of sexual orientation. The most common homosexuality was pederasty (adult and adolescent) which was just a coming of age thing.

It was the fall of Sparta. Not enough strong babies being made.

The soldiers had sex with each other, orgies were full on... it is just how they rolled.

I'm no expert on ancient Greece (and bet you aren't either), but I find that to be REALLY hard to believe. You're saying that there wasn't a single person in their culture that had different tastes?! I can buy that it was somewhat common, but when in history has there been a society where every single person had the same exact preferences. B.S. IMO.

I'm sure that's already a law somewhere, oh it's under new york in this search of obsolete laws I just googled:

[....]

Kentucky
**By law, anyone who has been drinking is "sober" until he or she "cannot hold onto the ground."
You know you're really drunk when you find yourself holding onto the floor to keep from sliding off.

New Mexico
**Females are strictly forbidden to appear unshaven in public.
Legs? Underarms? Face? Elsewhere?

Pennsylvania
**A special cleaning ordinance bans homemakers from hiding dirt and dust under a rug in a dwelling.
I think I like this one.... :hump:

Washington
**All lollipops are banned.
**A law to reduce crime states: "It is mandatory for a motorist with criminal intentions to stop at the city limits and telephone the chief of police as he is entering the town.
Hello Officer, sorry I got your voice mail, guess a message will have to do. I'm moving into town with a few hundred lollipopped plants. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. My U-Haul is nearing the freeway exit as I speak. Have a great day!

Yes nice laws. I think the shaving is about facial hair on women but really not sure.

Katatonic I love your avitar, very sexy the way the guitar is held looking like it's almost part of her, practically molded to her figure.

I would advise you don't connect your personal image or real life with this site even if you are legal with a medical card.

Just my opinion...

Then on the other hand I'm wondering what kind of music you play, but you can't say without outing yourself. (so to speak)

Thanks for the advice/opinion OM, but I'm not worried about an image that doesn't show any of my features. :D

I'm not performing much at all anymore. "Semi" retired; I haven't brought myself to "completely" retire yet, although that's very soon to come. The disability has taken over my life. I've got a gig coming up in October that frankly I'm dreading. But I've committed to it, others are counting on me being there, and so that's that. I do a wide variety of genres, but my favorites are Broadway and show tunes. I didn't do this in bands though, as there don't seem to be many places hiring bands for this. (I loved doing theatre!) Basically, if it's not nasal-no-talent-bubblegum-crap, I do it.
