Gavita Enters the LED Market

Finally? JUST because it says Gavita? shows how little you know about LED. HPS is dead and has been for at least 2-3 years. Why do you think Gavita sold its HPS division? There are many lights out there equal to this, Fluence for one.

Finally, an LED that might grow buds like HPS!

Where is the tradeoff between more photons with lower CRI and less with higher ?
80 cri. Haha.
What do u mean trade off? It's a matter of opinion @ this point I think. Or preffrance. Mine would be enhanced 70 cri personally.
Although I'm not feeling 70cri 4k with it's big green spike.

CRI does not effect cannabis, the only reason people mention CRI for LEDs is lower CRI LEDs typically have higher output so they are favored over the really high CRI ones.

It seems to make a difference when comparing hps to cmh most led that I've seen people use are 80cri

That's because the 90 CRI has less total output than the 80 CRI , CRI is for human eyes, plays zero role in growing plants, plants see PAR.

HPS has a CRI of 22 but grows great plants.

If you have any doubt about this just google mccree curve.

High CRI helps to take pictures and see your plants but does not really matter at all to the plants.
